FutureShock ond WorstBuy do have slightly different selection of products and sometimes different prices and special offers. But yes, service is equally bad, i.e. non-existent.
Some buses allow taking your bike. They sometimes can be mounted in the front. There is limited space there so it is first come, first serve, but it certainly works.
Agree with your conclusion (IS an unreasonable buffoon) but not with your reasoning. The fact that they took pictures of themselves alone is not relevant. If it were, "underage porn" could be legal depending on who shot it, which would open a can of worms, prosecution wise.
That being said, looking at the case, the rest of the world is shaking their heads in disbelief. Hundreds of thousands losing their homes despite billion-dollar-bailouts and tax payer money is wasted on a DA like this on the loose. As the article behind the first link quoted Lisa Bloom: "Have we lost our minds?". Probably.
Lived there for four years and hated it. Not all of it, mind you, of course shopping, weather and the outdoors are nice. Great food, too, I give you that. But people in general seem, for the lack of a better word, "socially handicapped". Oh, and they *do* cluster in groups based on ethnicity and/or religion, at least in their spare time when the forces of the workplace don't apply. Know many people of my home country who went back after a while. But we all came from a highly developed western country and none of us had to "make better lives", so maybe that explains the difference in perception.
Cable is so bad in Canada that I don't even 'pirate' it. I am not kidding: I can technically receive about 70ish channels without paying for them but anytime I tune in I get so depressed on the lousy quality of content that I turn it off and rather watch some legally streamed content from a certain European country I have ties to.
Guess some "premium" channels are better but the regular stuff? Forget about it!
Most jobs are found through networking and friends. Only the worst, lowes-end jobs are in the paper. That's plain fact.
No, it's not. My wife just landed her dream job after responding to an ad in the local paper. It probably depends what your business is and what you are looking for. But even in IT, online job offers can be a pretty good resource. The fact notwithstanding that personal references are indeed a strong force in job hunting.
You might want to check out something a little more modern if you're interested in an always on low-power linux server
Just to point out that another route that I have taken successfully is to use the ubiquitous old, outdated laptop computer with USB external drives (flash or enclosure) for a server. You can save power by turning off the idling main harddrive, turning off or minimizing logging and by turning off the LCD backlight (vbetool dpms off).
Splitting a bill evenly is remarkably easy. Getting separate checks ahead of time is remarkably easy, though a bit of a hassle for the waitstaff. Splitting a bill unevenly is a bit more of a hassle
It is what happens in Germany all the time. Both one person pays all and individual checks are about equally common, the even split not so much. I dunno, our waitresses and waiters don't seem to have a problem with it, even doing it all with pen&paper. And that at an average tipping percentage of 5% or less. Must be benefit of the education system I guess...way superior.
Permit me to remind you that, unlike all those other things whose status as addictions you mock, eating is something which you cannot simply quit "cold turkey".
You've obviously never done a hunger strike. I did one for 10 days back in my "protest years", so, yes, yu can simply quit cold turkey.
Please protest with your stomach against widespread obesity and go on for...dunno...the next three months or so. I dare you!
Sounds mean? Well, you know something - life can be mean.
Life is not mean. People are. And yes, you have no clue about addiction. As somebody not affected by it, you stand erect on your pedestal talking people down. Anything that makes you happy, I guess...

No really, DNF can't die because it is way too important to the vaporware industry!
How annoyink...
Now THAT would be a show we here at /. could really rave about!
You, sir, have a very flowery way of expression. Loved it!
You could also increase the number of pirates.
I would argue that their data is wrong and we have a lot more pirates.
Trust me, Marketing Majors and MBAs do make everything harder...
"Everything" only if they are female.
>In similar vein, I'm also looking for pluck-outs from Firefox which is also bloated.

...Slashdot? Or, did I need this distraction to learn about needless distractions? Ouch, my head hurts!

Also, whites shouldn't be business owners.
And in this recession, they quit being ones in staggering numbers. Your point being...?
Extremely popular scheme in Africa. Never, ever, use a credit card to buy anything in Africa. Ever! Not unless you are ready to cancel it any minute!
...formats, now that they become more and more obsolete.

I, for one, welcome our new magnet-wearing overlords!

They want a Quickbooks that doesn't loose features over time, ie multicurrency
I hear you, brother. Boy, do I hear you!

Now say that 10 times in a row!
More bullshit, I see ...
