Agree with your conclusion (IS an unreasonable buffoon) but not with your reasoning. The fact that they took pictures of themselves alone is not relevant. If it were, "underage porn" could be legal depending on who shot it, which would open a can of worms, prosecution wise. That being said, looking at the case, the rest of the world is shaking their heads in disbelief. Hundreds of thousands losing their homes despite billion-dollar-bailouts and tax payer money is wasted on a DA like this on the loose. As the article behind the first link quoted Lisa Bloom: "Have we lost our minds?". Probably.

Lived there for four years and hated it. Not all of it, mind you, of course shopping, weather and the outdoors are nice. Great food, too, I give you that. But people in general seem, for the lack of a better word, "socially handicapped". Oh, and they *do* cluster in groups based on ethnicity and/or religion, at least in their spare time when the forces of the workplace don't apply. Know many people of my home country who went back after a while. But we all came from a highly developed western country and none of us had to "make better lives", so maybe that explains the difference in perception.

Cable is so bad in Canada that I don't even 'pirate' it. I am not kidding: I can technically receive about 70ish channels without paying for them but anytime I tune in I get so depressed on the lousy quality of content that I turn it off and rather watch some legally streamed content from a certain European country I have ties to. Guess some "premium" channels are better but the regular stuff? Forget about it!

No, it's not. My wife just landed her dream job after responding to an ad in the local paper. It probably depends what your business is and what you are looking for. But even in IT, online job offers can be a pretty good resource. The fact notwithstanding that personal references are indeed a strong force in job hunting.

Just to point out that another route that I have taken successfully is to use the ubiquitous old, outdated laptop computer with USB external drives (flash or enclosure) for a server. You can save power by turning off the idling main harddrive, turning off or minimizing logging and by turning off the LCD backlight (vbetool dpms off).
