Primarily, I have rules set up that color code my incoming e-mails from 4 addresses. For important random tidbits of info- digital sticky notes are pretty good. For media, iLife does a good job. And for larger projects I keep fairly organized folders. None of this is anything extravagant- nor am I using any third party software for any sort of organization. This guy seems to be looking for an all inclusive software solution, which I know of none.
All the comments say that he was in it for the money from the start. Facebook didn't have a real financial model for years. Facebook, which started at a single university, and spread to a few more, eventually opening up to anyone with a.edu address was a different Facebook than the one we know today. Maybe the percentage of slashdotters that were in college when Facebook was strictly for.edu user is so small you are unaware. Trust me, alotta people were pissed when Fb opened up to everyone and started commercializing- it has been downhill ever since- But to say that it has been a privacy violating money maker since the get go is complete bullshit.
Seriously, It was my understanding that you could blow up bombs around the nukes and besides the explosives included with the bomb, the actual "atomic" parts were inert. This was by design, so this article should be praising how the device worked by design, not trying to spin it like OMG we almost nuked ourselves.
Anyone remember the Novell server that was lost behind drywall for four years after a remodeling job? Noone noticed it was gone until it needed a reboot.

Faster but more expensive, we were sick of Comcast- now we have frontier. We live in a college town where our cable connection was plagued with saturation- we actually get consistent rates with dsl. Personally, I was surprised that netflix works as well as it does on a 3mb line. Latency was not a tradeoff, so we are pretty happy with our switch. Frontier btw is very pleasant to work with unlike Verizon who used to run the Midwest services.
I have a dry loop dsl line. Yes, I realize I worded my original statement poorly, and that without landlines we likely wouldn't have dsl in it's present form. The point was dropping cable (TV) for only a data connection/air broadcast for media needs.
I hadn't had my coffee yet, I wasn't trying to be funny.
I already dropped cable for dsl, netflix, hulu and hd over the air. I am 22, not only does my generation not need landlines, but we don't need cable either.
If we had as many dedicated virus writers coding viruses specifically for NASA, as we do coding viruses for windows, this would not likely hold true. Viruses affect only systems they were DESIGNED for.
On the other hand, the BSG fan in me wants to wholeheartedly agree.
You know it's only the unlicensed third party controllers that don't work right? Regardless of Sony's intentions over the usb patch, why would anyone expect unlicensed hardware to work forever?
Yeah, you can forget trying to get good current Russian music, or non-american club music on Amazon or Itunes.
For club music, Dance-tunes.com is pretty awesome, and in several ways better than Itunes.
I remember hearing there was a key you could press or double tap to get a speed boost and outrun the snowman, but I forgot what it was. Maybe someone here knows the trick, if there is one.
As an anecdote, my chase cards work fine in Russia only when I've told chase to unlock the country- but my bank cards have been a nightmare trying to unlock. Not only do I have to have the fraud center in the U.S. unlock the card (and they will only do it for 48 hours at a time), but I have to get a notorized lawyer signed Russian translation of my passport just so that the banks here will allow me to use it in their atms.
If your credit card company is letting transactions go through Russia without your expressed approval- it is time for new credit cards. Because it is not as easy as you make it seem.

And this fact is based on what? Social Networking is a new untested variable in the business place. Maybe it could break a Fortune 500 company.
Unemployment? That usually does the trick.

We did what slashdot is always asking us to do, we voted with our pocketbooks.

Luther never intended to create an offshoot, he was only looking to reform the Catholic church.
That's a pretty good answer actually. - And I was just trying to show the parent he was being a dick. I really had Leukemia though.
And that explains how I got cancer at 13?
A heat exchanger for beer, brilliant.
A fellow ME?
And you want to put the heat created from cooling those beers where? Into the already hot computer?

I am in Siberia, and gas is 20 rubles per liter, AKA $2.50 a gallon. It isn't "expensive" everywhere.
