    ...kidding me!?!?!?! I guess the 8 hours kids spend in school is also contributing to a sedentary lifestyle. Homework? Shouldn't the kids be out playing? I certainly hope parents are discouraged from buying their kids books. Trying reading while burning calories.

    What a joke. As one guy already said this is some politician trying to cash in where ever he can. I play tons of games, watch tons of movies and I have washboard abs. Why? Because those hobbies aren't mutually exclusive with exercising.

    ...I'm laughing my ass off at the guy who wrote it. He's an anarchist who conforms to the vegan lifestyle and is a rubyist amongst other things. Wow...way to be an anarchist bad ass. I love how self proclaimed anarchists are often the biggest conformists who take advantage of things that clearly violate the very notion of anarchism.

    It's like the UFC fighter Jeff Monson who has the anarchy symbol tattooed on his chest. Seems to have no problem working within a corporation and cashing his paycheck. I guess the definition has changed over the years.

    Your response is completely irrelevant to the point I was trying to make. Whether it costs $1,$100 or $1000 MS clearly wasn't going to give customers the option of downloading a free version that worked indefinitely.

    Did everyone think MS was giving away a free OS??? I've come across people in other forums literally cussing out MS as if this is some dirty trick.

    Never underestimate the stupidity of some people. Like they think you have two options with Windows 7...either download the free version or go the store and buy the version that costs $100.

    ...to my problem.

    I own a copy of 3D Studio that only runs under XP. I tried installing it under Vista and it wouldn't work.

    Perhaps I can install it under this XP mode and save myself from either having to have an XP maching sitting around OR upgrading to the latest version of 3D Studio which costs thousands.

    What Microsoft tried to? Could you be any more of a Linux fan boy? The PC ads couldn't be any more truthful or on point but someone like yourself would never know that. The ads where people choose to pass on the $1999 MacBook are dead on. I picked up a Dell for 50% of that and it has the SAME hardware minus the aluminum case which is hardly worth $1000.

    This place couldn't be any more biased.

    I called it...this place is so transparent. There isn't an ounce of objectivity here. 99% of the posts are simply jokes made by people who clearly didn't even read the article. It's less about discussion and more about who can get "Score:5, Funny".

    Positively one of the worst forums out there. It's hilarious that a site about computing has such horrible software behind it. Ever heard of vBulletin or phpBB? Could this forum be any more achaic?
