so as to not offend Wii owners but man does that Mario game look like something for the DS. I know graphics doesn't equal fun but it's hard for me to get excited over a game that looks like the SNES could have run it fine 15 years ago. It just looks like they went the easy route on this one. Slap together some 2D levels...charge $50.
The sad thing is that it probably is pushing the Wii to the breaking point processor wise. Needless to say I don't get the popularity of that system. The Wiimote too me works poorly and the games are gimmicky. This game will not make me drop $150 or so to buy a Wii.
Sorry if offended any Wii owners but I just don't get the hype.
those other browsers are free so who cares if Windows users are forced to use IE?? It's not like Firefox is a company and they are losing out on revenue.
That's like saying "Doom came to the Phantom first....Phantom beats 360 and PS3".
To the millions who own an iPhone who cares if it came out first on some other platform. Technically it was ported to the iPod years ago by hackers so I guess iPod beats Android again!;)
in another forum and I'll say it here. I don't think video gamers are big into magazines these days. Video gamers that want the sort of information found in EGM are the same people who embraced the WWW with open arms 10 years ago. The last magazine I bought was Next Generation and I stopped doing so 10 years ago when I figured out that all of the info in there and TONS more were already online.
I don't see this selling in large volumes and will only be a hit with people who are nostalgic.
but it's hard to get excited over this. I had a first gen Zune and I liked it more than any of the iPods available at that time. It had a larger screen, an FM radio and supported codecs that the iPod didn't. Two years later though I have an iPhone and I'm seriously asking myself what possible advantage does this have that would make me want to carry TWO devices around. Then when you tack on the app store and the many applications I use on a daily basis and the Zune seems hopeless to compete. Unless MS can offer the same level of application support and the ability to play XBox Live Arcade games I think the platform needs to be taken out back and shot.
Not sure why your post was modded insightful. The fact that this was done on a cell phone is pretty amazing when you think about. Could you imagine doing that just 5 years back? 10?
One wonders what amazing things we'll be doing 5 years from now on our cell phones. I think this is very cool.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Call of Duty 4 was named Game of the Year by numerous publications and has proven to be immensely popular amongst gamers. That game is easily one of the greatest shooters of all time.
Your comments regarding GTA4 come off as trollish and ignorant.
Really? As a hardcore gamer some of the best games I've ever played have come out in the last few years. Fallout 3, Bioshock, Orange Box, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, GTA4, STALKER, Geometry Wars, GH3, God of War 2 to name a few from a massive list.
...the sweetspot is in the mid range. The budget cards are only good for playing those 2-3 year old games you've been putting off forever. The midrange cards allows you to play the current games at modest framerates without having to break the bank. For $200 I can get a card that will play Crysis, STALKER Clear Sky, etc at a reasonable resolution. Try doing that with a budget card.
Pretty sad that you think being seen naked is a violation. You would have hated life as a caveman....oh wait...you probably think the earth is only 4000 years old anyways.
...All your base are belong to us
This is the funniest thing I've read all day...shoud be "Score:5, Unintended humor"
things like Steam and XBox Live are the future. No more middle man. No more losing out on sales because of the used game market.
Brick and mortar will be a thing of the past in 5 to 10 years.
Huh? That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever read here...and that's saying something
I did read it...my comment was about the hype surrounding the wii in general.
Perhaps you should try reading my post before you respond to it...see how that works?

News flash...most of the products purchased by people who don't own Hummers are also made in China.
...thousands of years ago when parents combined the naming of their children with yelling at the top of their lungs that dinner is ready.
So it's the EU's job to police browsers for reasons other than monopolistic advantages? I picture you with kool aid stained lips and a tin foil hat.

You sound as noobish as some kid saying "Sorry but Micheal Jordan is not that cool. Kobe Bryabt is in fact much much cooler".

Not on a screen that big you weren't. There was nothing on the market back then even remotely close to the iPhone in terms of specs.
The rest of your post isn't even worth addressing it's so meaningless.

I saw Terminator 4 today and Skynet's displays were all running Vista.

Bioshock decent? Wow.

...your partner is on the phone during sex they might actually be looking up the next position instead of chatting with a friend.
The FPS genre 99 out of 100 times is what is pushing graphic cards to their limits. That genre has been synonomous with realism since day one.
Stalker Clear Sky on settings at 1280x720 was unplayable with my card. You might be thinking of the original Stalker.
...I was a devoted fan since the first episode. I was really looking forward to seeing where they were going with the series. Oh well.
