    Since China is such a media-controlling country (apart from other kinds of control), they most likely would film their so-called spacewalk in Bird's Nest Stadium or somewhere similar.

    Sometimes I think physicists are just making things up. This is one of those times.

    However it's worth having a few physicists around. One minute it's all "Hadrons colliding" and "strange quarks", and then just when you think they're going to start dribbling one of them says, "Incidentally, dropping a bomb with a nuclear device on the enemy would be a very interesting demonstration of atomic fission".

    It is useful for perhaps the smallest-guys.
    People who draw fan art for example are almost always victimized by theft, people submit stolen work in to fan art databases or even enter them in to contests. This is quite useful to find out if anyone is stealing your work and you can go and complain to the Admins and get the thief banned.

    It's not so much a Race, it's a business. People need to launch satellites and the people they go to are Russians. It makes you very marketable when your rockets are cheaper and more reliable then the competition (a good bang for the buck, so to speak) and when you have a space agency that's perusing space exploration you encourage innovation... un-like the US that can barely keep it's shuttles flying.

    Any guess what new technology will be in Doom 4? Well aside for raytracing, i'd say we'll be seeing a lot more open spaces and most likely a lot of hardware driven physics. Liquids, and fire and such.

    what massive system requirement? Just about anything could play that game, the beauty of it was that the game could run very fast even on systems that didn't support pixel shaders or normal maps. In fact it ran faster on systems that didn't support those options.
