45 pounds of carbon dioxide.... but out of how many?
sounds to me like they should just filter the carbon dioxide out and sell it to soda companies, and the rest send to mars. (ok, i know i'm going to get flamed for that. it was just a joke.)
really though, it would be great if we could get an economically feasible way to get CO2 from our cars and smokestacks to mars without burning more of the stuff or letting it get away from the planet's gravitational pull.
Only 11% of respondents said they be willing to safely implant a device that enabled them to use their mind to access the Internet. Thoughtcrime anyone? I'm sure the government (or hackers, for that matter) could find a "backdoor" way to the brain-- and read your thoughts and/or dreams.
worse, they could find a way to control your brain. What did they mean by "safe?"
The point of the thing was actually just that I am sick and tired of people saying that everything science is wrong when a new theory replaces an old one, etc.
And to whomever modded me troll, does it look like i'm a troll now? I mean, it should at least be flamebait!
hmm, i never thought of that. though i bet it would kind of suck if it got stuck in the cave with no battery life!... someone would have to get fired for that one
Since slashdotters have typically IQ in the range of 160 to 220, the will remain virgins till age 72 or so by my extrapolation. So if I could somehow find a way to get a negative number, I must have lost my virginity like my dad did.
oh, and i really don't know if other OEMs will start to sell Linux... but where will linux go if they don't advertise it? linspire was a good idea-- they advertised, and (some) people bought. [though, i would have marketed it differently]. right now, i fear that it's only/.'ers and the like who even know that dell is selling linux--and what linux is in the first place.
friendship hard disk platters.
nothing says "i love you" like a separated platter put on a necklace. nothing says "bling" like it, either, for that matter.

i hope they put them on (legal) torrents so they are just as easy to download.
but more likely, they will just make it an embedded player, so we can't FF through the commercials.
Taiwan or Thailand? Two completely different places.
Looks like a "typo" tag to me.

This is absolutely true. It's not disproof.

was that in bad taste?
why modded as funny? looks pretty insightful to me.
in soviet russia, the computer crashes you!
but bad pilots are more a danger to themselves than others, at least when they're over a rural area or water.
mod parent informative; i don't think it was meant to be funny.
Awesome post. Makes a lot of sense. One question, though. How the hell did you type that all up between 10:41 and 10:42?!?

is there a way we can explore the caves with robots? i doubt the signal would go through... or would it? it would be interesting to see what's inside.
damn. they obviously didn't ask me about how much i like my alltel phone.
but i'm not complaining- my dad's company pays for it.
is a hard disk that is at least 80 gb.... or like the new 160.
though it may be fairly hard to do, i want to actually use it as an ipod.... that's when i would buy one.
1. somehow find out someone's password. 2. SSH in.
it would be really awesome if these guys started working with the gigapxl guys.
if we do current events this year, this will be my first one.
pidgin (gaim) could also be considered superior to aim, i suppose.
they should do that with the entire MS office. then we can find an ad blocker, just like we did for AIM .
[Cue Chuck Norris Jokes]
yeah, but it's the drama geeks that make it into the movies... not the cheerleaders (For the most part)
glad i waited.
