    I agree it's hard to judge as an entire marketplace. I mean Microsoft might not be on he list cause the PC to tablet market is so different number wise. I would like to see a top 10 for PC then top 10 for smartphones. Plus like mentioned people due get longer out of PCS then phones and tablets not just due to build but because PCS can be repaired where phones and tablets are disposable.

    You do not have a choice pick a bigger hosting provider or buy hardware that protects against ddos. In this case pick a better hosting provider be cheaper.

    Well I agree absentee ballots are not right if you not around to vote you do not get a say. But under the circumstantial situation it's nice there giving people chance to vote. I just hope people do not abuse it.

    I think anyone running generator is facing a fuel issue I do not care if it's a DC or just a house hold generator that cannot get fuel in the NY, NJ or PA area.

    Well in 2006 they were in some trouble http://bsd.slashdot.org/story/06/03/21/1555243/openbsd-project-in-financial-danger If they are still in trouble they hung on a long time and are still kicking. lol I am more of a Freebsd guy but I have used this distro in the past not bad I liked it.

    Anyone using BitTorrent to download movies is stupid we know film industry is cracking down, and fining people Slashdot has at least one article a week about film industry. BitTorrent technology itself is used for legitimate sharing and allows for fast speeds. This is an example of people using good technology innovation for bad things plain and simple.

    Everyone that starts a .com now a days just try and position themselves to be bought by Google, Facebook, Microsoft or one of the big giants. The problem is most of there businesses are crap shoots and setup to fail unless they are bought. People should try to build a business rather then a company to just start and sell.

    I live in PA and we got hit hard people for 1 to 2 weeks expected with no power or phones. We have lost over 16 power stations. I am a ham radio operator and we have been helping people who do not have phones and no way of communicating. We got hit hard and we are on out skirts so I can only imagine what NY and NJ going threw.

    Projections can change Facebook was projected be the best public offering ever we see how that went over past few months. Google does dominate the phone market, like Microsoft dominates the PC industry. But again I would have like to seen a PC vs PC comparison, phone vs phone, and tablet vs tablet. I think those numbers would give use a true more accurate feel for Android vs Windows this article is vague and not very factual. Commander Taco I Miss You.

    Considering Windows 7 was a whopping $200 when it came out, Windows 8 is quite a deal. Microsoft I be leave is doing this in an effort to get users off the old versions of there operating systems. It will be interested to see how this play’s out for Microsoft they are taking a major gamble redesigning the look, price point and cross platform compatibility.

    Well Microsoft is in business to sell products I'm being caption obvious here . But I am skeptical because we were told there will NEVER be an SP3 for XP and obviously there was one released year or so later.

    I think it really all depends on what you want to do in IT. If you want to be a computer tech then A+ would be fine. But to run a department or be network admin you defiantly need college and a technical college is fine. It depends on where you go and what you would like to get out of the program. I went to Johnson College of Technology and I got great education that gave me a wonderful start. In interviews I would tell people what I did in college and there answer back was "WOW! That's great were did you go to school?" It depends on what you want to do. My friends went to ITT Tech and he said was waist of time he just learned PC stuff and he wanted to be a network guys. 1. Decided whether 2 or 4 years would be better 2. What do you want do in IT 3. What does the program offer. 4. Do you get Associate's on computer science or Applied Associate's in science makes a work difference.

    I agree Kevin O'leary has a whole firm of lawyers thats all they do is hunt down patine issues and take them to court, if you change the law people like this will be out of business. Not to mention patents do nothing but kill innovation.

    Well I think Apple is doing this to compete with Amazon and Samsung. Apple hates the fact they nipple at bottom of price point this will level the playing field as far Apple is concerned. I mean Google and Amazon sell these products at loss so not sure what Apple hopes to gain.
