  1. crap content? well then where...? on UC System Chooses Mindawn Download Service · · Score: 1

Wait, I thought the RIAA provided crap content. Looking at the artist lists, I don't see any bigname RIAA artists, just unknown bands. But if this is crap, what is the good stuff and where can I get it?

  5. Re:Allow Students to Fail on Improving Education? · · Score: 1

The problem is, when students fail a class, they still have to take the same class. They don't get put into a special class with all the other failing students. Since they weren't interested in the class before, they certainly aren't going to be interested when taking it again.

It's not just poor performance that causes kids to fail. It's an attitude problem as well.

Is there really that much story there? Or did he just throw in as much stuff as he could find for fear of leaving something out? Not that a long movie doesn't have benefits, but the kitchen sink approach usually ends up feeling more like an academic lecture than an interesting film.

I'd be a little wary of this guy's answers. Everything that sounds like a bad idea in the conversion to the movie, he insists that Adams himself was workng on. This bascially alleviates and nullifies any possible criticism.

where simpsons quotes can be funny, informative, insightful, and interesting.

Personally, I like the line "and so as the rat's milk is returned to the sewer, the circle of life is complete." Which if you think about it, is really a metaphor for the overall trajectory of the series and ourselves. The show began weakly (though not in ratings), grew strongly and quickly, plateaued, and is now in decline, until it dies, merely hinting at it once was.
