These 3 always come on top in all reviews regarding image quality and features. The yesteryear cameras are wery good, and now wery cheap (Olympus C2000Z, Nikon CP950, Canon A50, I own A50) They all have decent resolution (1280x960) crystal clear and sharp images (more important than pixel count, IMHO) and good colors. You really should check out sites like Phil Askey's dpreview.com or Steve's Digicams for all the information you want. J.
I loathe them! How am I supposed to read the text with all those blinking and flashing gifs jumping around on the page? Thank heavens/hell for JunkBuster! The web is not a TV...
Well, I'm registering it right now! Can't let the females get all the glory, can we? Since they can be beautiful AND smart, I'm going to prove that we can be smart AND beautiful! Send your pictures and geekdom achievements and get rid of that virginity!
1) Perl is overrated 2) OO is powerful 3) If people who wrote applications for a living knew a good OO language there would be better applications. 4) Items 1-3 are mockery of comment #52
And a appropriate vulture logo with it, perhaps?:) Then the few of us who are tired of lawsuit news can just put it where it belong with Amiga "news"..:> Jón
IMNSHO still the best game written ever. ELITE is the king! Ah, all those nights on my trusty old BBC Model B, using an Apple green monitor in the computer lab. "Hey there is a system we havent vistited, I wander if we run into any Thargoids?" David Braben and Ian Bell, where are you now? (Oops, looks like troubl e!) Jón (No, I did NOT put that space in "trouble")
Well, the feeling I get when I read all those export restriction stories is that it applies only to hardware. If software would be included in the export control I'm afraid TCP/IP could be classified as do-not-export-to-some-countries software?:>. Anyways, I've always thought this supercomputer export laws to be pretty silly, what if the countries would just lease supercomputer time in the US, no need to export any hardware!
Now, I wouldn't know if that is a good or bad. We all know MS love for propriertary stuff, but OTOH, they are the king of personal desktop OS. Personally, I wouldn't care less, if this stuff will be supported on my Palm, there would probably be one less reason to boot into Windows...:)
The hof is neat, but I would like to see Hall of shame with stuff like, Least Active stories, Least visited stories, Least active authors, Least active poll topics.
And we need a new algorithm for Top 10 Comments, (maybe sum of karma of the comment and child comments?)
This is the first time I've ever critized (?) slashdot's news selection (Belive me, I have often wanted to!) but this is political, not nerdy news:. Please keep the international politics out of here, unless there is something technical/geeky related... And a happy new year!
The DVD Copy Control Association (whoa!) will rather have their teeth dragged out than loose few bucks over some petty pirates, and they will use every means to do so! Armour up, it's going to be tough, and laywers take no prisoners!
...that amazon.com is quite a success. No other on-line store has gotten so much publicity and (in)fame. Shame about the idiotic patent, though... J. (first?) :
This pretty good article. It should belong here, in Linux advocates stronghold (Linux rules, MS sucks!)... HEY ROB, how about it! Go and read it, NOW. Jón

Well, I can hardly call the current state of affairs a "A well regulated militia"... Any idiot can walk into a store (or alley) and get a gun...

Like we don't have enough traffic jams? Do we really have to make robots to add to the traffic? Do the have a middle finger?

Why didn't they mention that? Totally pointless suffering of millions, just to test the newest toy! Hypocrites, I say.

We had dual and quad PowerMacs years ago, until Apple killed the cloners...
And we are supposed to be thankful? Try another one, Steve.

Put the slashdot effect to good use.
It's over here.
