The iPhone actually has a 3rd party application with this functionality (writingpad) I believe, but it cannot replace the keyboard in other uses (browsing, texting, etc.).
You know there is some student; just like the rest of us, that is frantically wondering why cs.ucsb.edu will no longer load and wondering how he will complete his homework at the last second before class.
It's 8:30 in the morning on a CS server. Do you think any CS students are awake at 8:30 AM? I didn't even KNOW there was an 8:30 AM.
I was in it for the GPS. I was looking for something to do GPS distances on a golf course (I wasn't liking my Laser Rangefinder), and this fit the bill perfectly. It's not as accurate as a SkyCaddie or some of the other production golf GPS Systems out there (+/- 5 yards vs. +/- 3), but I'm using software I wrote for it and it seems to be working great. However, GPS isn't a dealbreaker for most it seems so YMMV.
That reminds me of that scene from Fun with Dick and Jane (the remake), where he goes in for an interview with thousands of other people, and gets pulled to the front of the line just so everyone at the company can laugh at him.
In the movie, did they get rounded up/down? If so, one could argue that whenever it was less than.4 cents (therefore getting rounded down), it wouldn't actually be taking anything from the customer's themselves, as this money would have just vanished anyways, making this a strikingly similar analogy.
What about something like Texas? The bigger urban areas are actually relatively liberal (Austin, etc...), and those votes are pretty much nullified by the rest of Texas.
Best Buy now sells Apples, and will be getting the iPhone 3G soon.
You put the oosh in woosh.

I've got a 11X14 family print of my GG-grandmother
I read that as CG-Grandmother, and thought "Awesome... I want a computer generated relative"
I thought they were Carls Jr.

Safari is out for Windows, but don't let facts get in the way or anything.
That might have sounded sarcastic but it wasn't, one of my favorite movies.
A Caddyshack reference on Slashdot, I'm impressed.

However, I was just trying to make a funny.
Like grandmother like grandson (using Slashdot as a basis for this assumption).
Taken from office space - changed slightly for my point.
JOANNA
So you're stealing.
JOANNA
Ok. So you're gonna *get a lot of movies*, right?
AC
Yeah.
JOANNA
Ok. That's not yours?
AC
Well, it, it becomes ours.
JOANNA
How's that not stealing?

I would have gotten it, but I'm posting from the damn slow U.S Broadband.
I guess I jumped the gun a little. Thanks for the information.
mallic phacking ?
Phallic macking? What?
Can this be fixed by a firmware update? It said something about the stack which made me think firmware, or is it just shoddy hardware?
It's ok, I'll take your wife to be.

That's impossible! Even for a computer!
It's not impossible, I used to bullseye whomp rats back home. They're not much bigger than 2 meters.
Not enough time for you!!
Oh... wait...
Another school that has a Cobol course is Carngie Mellon University. It's called Introduction to Business Programming.
