How much conflict any talk of Islam and Prophets have incited just on this forum.

Just goes to show how concerned we all are about the consequences of religion as we begin to think more and more for ourselves and less about mythical beings who live in the sky.

IMO we should ban it all, look at what it does, it encourages stupidity in entire races of people who kill each other over things that just don't exists and values which have only ever caused problems.

If God was to get angry about us banning religion that kills so many and destroys so many lives, fuck him because he ain't much of a creator or a father. In fact he would be a terrible excuse for a being. If I was the father of the entire human race at the moment I would be nothing but disappointed in my children at the moment.

Turning routers and switches off is a good idea in cases where machines are left on it prevents any malicious activity, still would there be ANY point in having the machines on with 0 network connectivity?, Sounds very wasteful to me. Money and the environment are impacted for no reason.

Last job I had as a Systems Admin we built an in office NAS which hosted everyones day time documents and gave users VPN access via an OpenBSD gateway with OpenVPN so everyone could power down office machines and gain access to there work at home. Very simple almost vital solution to nearly all organizations these days.

I also belive if you are working at night and on weekends, its time to find another job or re-think you're attitude to life and stop sitting on facebook or youtube while you should be doing work :)

I agree totally, Nuclear has plenty of problems a couple more I can think of:

    • Damage from mining of uranium of important environmental and cultural sites around the world. Seems a lot of people around the world could not care less but in Australia this is becoming a massive concern with younger people.
    • Supply of Nuclear Technologies to developing and politically unstable countries, they need to produce clean energy aswell otherwise they will just slowly choke everyone else? Nuclear power in these countries could have massive implications, Goverments may find it too costly to dispose of nuclear waste correctly or may even end up with a Government who are incapable of maintaining a safe plant or simply do not care what they do with the waste. Putting in bombs might sound like a better option.

Anyway this sounds like a step in the right direction to me, Good to see efforts like this being made!

There is absolutely no doubt the mind accelerates its thinking in times of extreme danger. There have definitely been life threatening situations that I would not have escaped so well from if I didn't think, and move so quickly.

Proof if this is sometimes I have come off slightly injured due to my reaction, torn muscles, bruises.

After an extremely dangerous situation has passed and I look back on it, I never think that time might have slowed down throughout the ordeal rather think about how I thought and moved to avert injury or death so 'quickly'.

I do not believe that being thrown off a platform with a net to catch the subjects is an acceptable experiment it is a controlled situation and the subjects know they are going to land in a net where as in a car accident the outcomes are totally unpredictable. Surely this has a different affect on ones thinking at the time of the ordeal.
