  4. You do realize that you are trying to tell farmers and ranchers how they perform their jobs, right? You can keep making claims that aren't real, or ones that don't mean what you think they mean. We can keep correcting you.

    A) Most beef cattle graze on the grasslands for their first couple years, then are sent to feedlots for fattening before slaughter. Most milk cattle are fed with hay and corn stalks, not just the corn grain.

    B) You can't stop growing hay and feed corn, then grow a garden full of vegetables to feed to people. The soil support grass and grain, not tomatoes and lettuce. Not to mention the labor involved in vegetables is a lot more than rows of corn, let alone fields of grass with a herd of cows eating it.

So after you get actual experience in raising your own food, come back and let us know how it goes.

  5. I pointed out that same information a few weeks ago. You can see what good stating facts is in this discussion.

I grew up on a small produce farm in the upper midwest. I know how much labor and water it takes to grow a season of vegetables. But these fools still think they could plow up the grasslands and plant a vegetable garden easier than you raise your cattle.

    Merry Christmas.

Let me turn it around on you. What's your excuse for eating dead plants?
What's your excuse for eating food that was grown by people that disturbed the natural soil just so they can make money?
    What's your excuse?

As for rifles against tanks... If you're stupid enough to go against tanks or against any enemy on their terms you deserve to get wiped away. Never served a day, have you?

That part of my reply was directly in response to the false claim that Mrs. Clinton won "the majority" of votes, which she did not. I then added the other parties to further show that 'her side' didn't even win the majority of the popular vote. She simply won a larger percent of the liberal vote than Mr. Trump won of the conservative vote.

Also, I don't like the fact that so many people keep making this a two horse race. I voted for Jill Stein, and want my vote to count. So, yes, I will add in more parties if I please.

Wait. Are you trying to be funny or ironic? Because there's been a LOT of hate and anger expressed this election cycle and it's been coming from Trump and his followers.

You haven't seen any of the violence against Trump supporters on the news? You haven't seen any of the protests in the streets after the election? Trump supporters, of which I was not one, were not the violent ones. Angry, yes, but they channeled that to the ballot box. Trump haters channeled it to the streets.

Sen. Harry Reid about Romney: "He didn't pay taxes for 10 years! "

Dan Rather using obviously faked military documents to prove Bush didn't perform his military duty.

    Trump still won the election.

Right now, Mr. Trump is the person who lost the popular vote. By millions of votes.

He's not the president-elect unless the electoral college vote next week overrides the popular vote.

That will probably happen, based on arbitrary pro-bias applied to votes coming out of low-population regions (and outright abandonment of the EC's obligation to pick a qualified candidate); but until/unless it does happen, Mr. Trump's operating on an assumption, not an election, and so is anyone else who assumes this is a done deal.

Denial runs deep in you. Maybe your butthurt will heal in four years.

Moving forward after the EC votes, assuming Mr. Trump wins that vote, anyone who thinks that he "won the election" might want to keep in mind that the majority of Americans selected Mrs. Clinton

Mrs Clinton did not win the majority of anything. She received less than 50% of the overall popular vote. If you added the Libertarian vote to the Republican vote, the "conservative" side of the ballot received over 50% of the vote, while adding the Green vote (which I voted for) to the Democrat vote, the "liberal" side of the ballot received less than 50% of the vote.

-- by a significant margin, as in, no doubt about it. The election he would have won is that of the electoral college, that august institution that disenfranchises the citizens of their votes.

You guys don't even know what "disenfranchises" means anymore.

He has no mandate. We're also already seeing considerable congressional resistance to many of his stated goals.

    So don't be too smug.

    Don't be too butt hurt.

Depends on the job. If it's something anyone with a pulse can do, then there's no real skill or reason for great pay.

There is a reason: basic respect for the person doing the job. Asking someone to work two full-time jobs just to be able to split the rent on a single apartment and still need food stamps is dehumanizing.

Two full time jobs would produce quite a good monthly income. Using $8/hr as a wage, that would be $8 x 40 hours x 4 weeks x 2 jobs. That's $2560 before taxes.

If the person is splitting rent with a roommate, and the roommate works the same schedule, they have $5000 a month income to pay rent and buy food.

It seems like you would be doing more good by buying land in various locations, and building cheap apartments that let 4 guys share rent on one space. Then they can use their excess money to buy beer, and keep their girlfriends happy with cheap baubles.
