I've found the biggest problem I have is being taken seriously from the start. In the end I usually get treated the same, but more often than not people act like I'm an idiot when we first meet. I didn't realise women were unable to comprehend anything remotely technical.
But, I'm reasonably articulate (I hope), and I try not to get too bitchy when this happens, so in the end I get treated the same most of the time. But, it does annoy me when my team will talk to someone new and that person will almost always just assume then men on the team know more than I do.
Just wondering. I checked Intel's pricing (in 1000 quantities), and it costs like $4 more to get a 945GM+Yonah than it does to get a 945PM+Yonah. On top of it, the iMac doesn't use GMA950 anyway. 945PM Chipset shortages?
According to a little interview done by Inside Mac Games, the ATi cards use a custom firmware on the Macs. They don't just use the generic "PC" firmware.
Office 2004 runs just fine under Rosetta. It doesn't feel any slower than it did on a low-end G5 to me...and the dual core yonah systems are faster than the last ones that were being used.
I have a phone through Cingular (old ATT plan, though). US $40.00/mo for 1,000 anytime minuts. On top of it, I can call the UK for just $0.06/min. You can't tell me that isn't cheap.
+5? Does anyone here actually know Japanese? Two others posted before me, so they deserve the mod points.
But, a keiretsu is quite a bit different (see Mitsubishi or other companies for an example). This seems like a much less cohesive venture, and a single one at that. They are just discussing a 'shared foundry' as TFA states. This is nothing like Mitsubishi or the Virgin Group.
Granted, I suppose it is possible for it to eventually turn into a keiretsu, but I don't think so. These are MUCH larger, independent companies, than the groups that formed the modern-day keiretsu of Japan.
Japanese do not work harder than Americans. Yes, if you work there you spend more time in the office, but more time doesn't equal productivity. When I was working there, you were expected to stay until like 800pm at night, and then we usually went out drinking. But, the number of smoke breaks and meetings and things during the day certainly didn't equate to more work done. Lots of meetings here, too, but overall I think the work done is the same.
As far as I know, only some old digital cameras use CF cards, and then some big DSLR cameras. I'd have been much more interested in an SD Card comparison myself.
I did buy a 150x 2GB SD card (Transcend) for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1 camera, and it'd have been nice to see more reviews.
Good deal on this judge. I only hope the Supreme Court upholds this if it reaches them. I honestly think they will since this is rather obvious, but you never know.
Seriously, freaking EVERYTHING is either instanced, or you have to unlock something to continue on. There is no 'exploring' you can do in the world, unfortunately. The city feels like a prison to me.
I did find it fun for a bit, though. If you have a group of people you can play with I bet it is more enjoyable as well.
Pretty sad that the theft poster got a higher rating than you did. At least the artists get something at other sites, they don't get a penny from allofmp3.
That's pretty much my complaint as well. It only seems to grate on my nerves when it is some absurdly-proportioned women, or when playing an RPG and none of the armour makes any sense.;)
A lot of RPGs do things tolerably though, at least in WoW, DDO, etc., I've noticed that I can pick an avatar that has normal or at least not absurd proportions.
But, it is more the fairly stereotypical imagery that gets annoying. Not much deviation, etc. And, it is rather obvious that they are just catering to men by doing this.
You can sort of tell in some games that have more women. NWN and a lot of RPGs don't go too overboard on this.
http://www.ati.com/products/RadeonX1600/specs.html
It mentions HDCP for the x1600 at least.

Also, if you look around the internet you can find a system profiler dump, which does mention EFI firmware interface or something, on the ATi chipset.
Install flashblock, at least then you wont get reminded, and can just play the ones you want if you want to.

There is no VT in current steppings.
Apple will use Intel CPUs. ;)
Sorta annoyed me too, but at least we have an ExpressCard slot. Should be some decent peripherals for it at some point.
Come on moderators. lol
Apple has a 23" IPS panel, while dell uses a 24" PVA panel.
As for the 30", the Dell has a newer panel, but I bet the Apples get a new rev soon.

Does Tivo work with NTL? Not sure how cable standards differ...
Isn't that due to amps? Most houses just use 15 amp circuits.

Have you ever lived and worked in Japan?

Seriously...
I just only allow people on my friend or buddy list to IM me on all my acounts (google, MSN, Yahoo, and AIM). I've never ever gotten spam of any kind.

I've used it behind websense, a pix, an ssh socks4 proxy, garbage firewalls, etc., and I've never had a problem.

Doesn't crash mine on xp. 1.5+session saver.
