  1. US as others said on Apple Adds New TV Shows To iTunes · · Score: 1

Not a bad show, I'd really love to see Gervais' office, too. Like another poster said, BBC shows up here would really be a great thing. But isn't the BBC planning on their own delivery method for something like this? Although using an already-established system like iTunes sounds good...

  2. DDO on Brad McQuaid On Instancing · · Score: 1

  5. Never had a job where casual was allowed on IT Workers Worst Dressed Employees · · Score: 1

Then again, most of my jobs have been in consulting aside from the current one. All the consulting places made me do business attire. Granted, for women, it really isn't too bad in my opinion. At least all my clothes are comfy. Now I work in health care and we can wear jeans on Friday (and who cares what is underneath, not like they can see most of the time), but the rest of the week is 'business casual'.

My idea of bad style is the men who dress business casual, but can't pick out a pair of slacks long enough, so you see their socks and hairy legs. :|

Have you heard the lame FEMA director? Sure, they told people to go to a central location, but they didn't even know about the Convention Center until yesterday. How does that work again?

While lots of stuff is metric now...

Most people use the "English" system for distances anyway. No one I know uses km, they all say miles.

And then a lot of people also use things like pints, and then at the same time liters, etc. But, yeah, they have much more metric stuff in daily use.

You can't compare a 12" to a 15" one. Your argument is crap, it is still bigger. The point stands, find a 12" laptop for the same price.

  13. Yeah too bad UMD is closed on Iomega Patents 850GB DVD Nano-Technology · · Score: 1

  14. Have any of you used VPC? on Xbox 360 Backwards Compatible? · · Score: 0, Troll

I really doubt it is backwards compatible. I am leaning more towards some popular titles being recompiled and worked on enough to run on the 360.

A dual 2.7GHz G5 can't even run Windows at a great speed, and there is no support for 3D hardware! The 3core CPU in discussion here is most likely in order and possibly slower in raw power than the dual 2.7s are.

Now I'd love for it to be backwards compatible, but it seems rather unlikely. Old versions of VPC had 3D support once though, so perhaps they could do it with very specific hardware? And keep in mind we're going from different shaders, too.
