Even if you convert to US$, it is a bit high. Not as bad as Comcast is planning to charge for their VOIP, though.
For example, I use Lingo (http://www.lingo.com) and pay $20 for unlimited calls inside the US and to a few places in Western Europe. Mainly I just call the U.K., and had 6200 minutes logged there last month. And the company that owns lingo (Primus) isn't too tiny either...not that I'm saying AOL is.
Sheesh, it was +5 a minute ago. 12-15 hours seems long enough (if they keep the current trend going with the latest devices). Just plug the darned thing in before you go to bed or something.
My SO is in the UK... So for me, being able to talk as much as I want every month (think a few hours a day) is a huge bonus. On top of it my cost is like $20 a month for this...
My mobile gives me $0.06/min, but that isn't -near- as cheap.
Yeah, it works fine behind a Cisco PIX firewall at least.:) That's what I use my Lingo VOIP with. Of course, if you don't forward the ports right it will cause problems.
I'd perhaps recommend against using a Pix though, as it doesn't support QOS.
Now, my work's webmail (iPlanet..how ironic) has issues w/the send button, but other than that I don't have problems.
My online banking with bankone works fine, as do all of my other financial sites. I even have paid all my bills for phones and other places w/firefox just fine.
Slashdot does render a bit off sometimes on the left side, but it is all I've really noticed.
The first computer I ever did an upgrade was to an old 4.77mhz 8088 (I think an Epson) that I had. Just popped in an NEC V20 chip. I think it just was a more efficient chip though, I believe my clock speed was the same.
Dragon Age will use a brand-new cutting edge technology engine, called the BioWare Dragon Age Engine. BioWare's programmers are applying the experience learned from working on past BioWare engines like the BioWare Infinity Engine, the BioWare Aurora Engine, the BioWare Odyssey Engine and the BioWare Jade Empire Engine to create this new RPG engine.
What was the point of bringing up him having Jewish ancestry? Are you trying to imply that he is somehow 'worse' just for being Jewish or that he has some Zionist ideas?
Aside from it all just seeming quite racist, not all Jews are Zionist. I know more than a few Orthodox Jews who are not, to say nothing of the conservative or reform Jews.
Argh, now all my crappy accounts have tons of space, but I still can't try out gmail.:( It's a conspiracy, as I've never gotten an Orkut invite either.:|
I agree with some of it. But, I've never gotten anyone complaining about my mail getting lost, and the mail works just fine in Firefox for me. I know there were some issues (or still are) with Opera, though.
I honestly just use hotmail for my junk mail though, it isn't used for anything important.
I don't know about you, but most mail clients I've used let me keep messages on the server. But, I can also tell them to delete messages if I want once they are emptied from my trash or something. At least this is how I've kept my Yahoo account pruned.

I'm curious too, I don't have an answer, though. I'm getting married and going to the UK next year some time and hope the market is ok.
I know for the UK anyway www.jobserve.co.uk seems to be half way decent and there is a monster version too.
Same for me here in Chicago. I have a number of years of security experience, and there definitely seem some jobs in that field here.
Wow, who modded him down to a 0? Your post really is a bit cynical as he notes.
No one here reads articles or the news, you should know that by now. ;)
Seriously people, they are using something verbatim I saw in the news!

Well, the parent never did use Celsius... Also, I think the 200 degree club is in reference to the difference of +100 and -100...

Not quite as cool as the upgrades you mention.
IE has really poor CSS2 support. I imagine they are using it on the site is all...
Go ahead and give money to the Russian mob and make sure none gets to the artist... that is all you are doing if you buy there.

I have a $40/month plan that allows me unlimited calls to the UK (24/7). I've not yet found anyone else that has such a plan...
I have no clue how I managed to make such an inane post today. I blame it on lack of sleep and no caffeine.
Maybe some of this smell would help me wake up...

Had to come from somewhere...
Is that newspeak for "I can't use a dictionary"?

Very true, it is what I always use, personally.
Putty is pretty good, but it lacks serial communications, which was a major issue for me (and still is I guess).
It is just that spelling ability has gone pear-shaped in the US.
