Unless you're holding you're meeting in a Faraday Cage I can turn a pair of old Sony Walk-man Headphones into a listening device without even touching them. It's not difficult.
Actually I think it's more to do with the fact that old PCN & GSM phones gave off quite a bit of interference (I remember my first GSM phone would cause the fire alarm bell mechanism to ring when it was finding the network or someone rang me). Most phones these days hardly use those spectrums and anyway you've still got keep the phone in flight mode.

These kinds of train are much better on the whole (Transport For London had the London Overground fitted with these) however one problem is beggars can now do the length of the train with ease. However, this is a minor issue and the benefits of the trains far outway it.
Actually not spreading FUD so dismount that horse just stating facts there are literally hundreds of different Android distributions out there even if you just limit it to the market leaders for Android you're still talking mid thirties and that's without even looking at the differences between Ice-Cream Sandwich, Gingerbread, Kitkat etc...
If it takes you a week to test on Apple it's going to take months on Android.
BTW my phone & tablet are both android so I'm by no means an Apple O'Phile
Hey I'm not complaining I have Android and love it it's just I know dev teams and most of them wont support Android just because it's such a pain in the arse to test your app on. Oh it may work on a Galaxy S4 but you still have to test on every fucking flavour (For which there are lots). Most of the Dev teams I know (and I know a few) would rather write for Blackberry than Android because there are only 2 handsets at the moment.
It's not the users that are the problem its the dev teams because if you're writing for Apple you only need to test on few handsets & tablets. However, if you're writing for Android you need to test on fucking hundreds of different hand sets because each manufacturer has fucked with the OS. So either apps don't get written for android or if they do they normally get approx 100th the testing apps get on Apple.
