    China can still cheap goods outside the US. The rest of the world will always favor cheap Chinese products over overpriced American products.

    I'm guessing they are dodging GDPR by basing their data and companies outside the EU. Facebook recently moved millions of user accounts away from Ireland to do similar.

    India is a huge country. Way bigger than the US. There's no reason for them to depend on other countries for any resource.

    What's the alternative? Linux doesn't have good proprietary drivers and is useless at multimedia.

    8.1 with the third party 'Class Start' installed is pretty damn fast. A lot faster than Windows 7, with all the same features. Most people who don't like Windows 8 are angry about the metro interface, which Classic Start effectively gets rid of.

    As a non-American I will buy products from whoever gives the the best value for money. Right now, thanks to low wages and the ability to produce quality goods at a low price, China is winning that battle. If I buy an American product then I'm basically paying extra so some fat kid in the US with high wage expectations can have a fancier life, not to get a good product.

    In Europe they're not allowed to hold your data without permission because of recent GDPR legislation. Oh wait, they just moved millions people's data out of the Ireland data centre to data centre outside of Europe, what a coincidence. Facebook are evil. Do what you can to get out before it's too late. Eventually one way or another all their data will be leaked.

    His method makes more sense than just filters. With a catch-all address you can still have the filters, but more importantly you can see which company a third party company got your email address from.

    I clicked unsubscribe in the email and never heard anything again. There's no way I'm going to agree to their new 'privacy' policy. The last straw was them moving data out of Ireland to avoid having to comply with privacy legislation.

    I agree. Most people I know are moving over to TV sticks and subscription services like Amazon or Netflix. Oldskool tv will disappear fast.

    And that's why I don't use facebook and use blockers to block their cookies/scripts on other sites. They still have their shadow profile of me of course and all the details of my friends and family, but at least it's a bit less info for them. The fact that they moved millions of people's data out of Ireland just to avoid adhering to privacy protection legislation was the final straw.
