America doesn't have the funding. Getting Man to another planet shouldn't be an American goal, it should be the goal of Man and funded by all interested nations. Its funny to me that a lot of people want to see NASA land someone on Mars and want it to be a government priority . . . meanwhile, at the same time we (Americans) complain about high taxes and misuse of tax dollars. We can't have everything.

Right on. Its rediculous that the government has to be the parent of every child here in the States. If the government is so concerned with how children are raised, maybe we should just have licenses to have children and breed Demolition Man style.
God knows a lot of parents don't deserve their children, but is it the governments responsibility to raise everyone because of a few (to scale) fuck ups?
This is funny to me. I was hired by the VA in St. Petersburg, Florida a few years ago when Windows 2003 first came out to train all of the NT administrators on the migration to 2003. Of the 60 or so NT administrators, all but three of them were losing their title and becoming helpdesk for their site and "physical hands" for the few remaining administrators.
A lof of the admins were unhappy about that, as I would have been. I am just curious if the failure to complete the project had to do with the lack of respect for the older employees with NT experience and essentially downgrading those employees.
I'm not trolling and if someone could help me with a link I'd appreciate it. But I know for a fact Ive read articles on here that Stevey is prime to ganking stuff off the line when a 'partner' beats him to the punch on announcing an Apple product/idea. Isn't that what happened to ZFS originally? Damn . . . I know there was a/. article about it, but I can't recall the technology.
