    The oldest person to ever live was 122 years and 164 days. The 3rd oldest person to live recently died at age 117 years and 260 days. If half die each year, then less than 4% of the people who beat the current number 3 person would beat the current number 1 person. It could be quite a while before the all time record is broken again.

I suppose it would be too much to ask for them to do their job next time since this is the same FBI that had Zacarias Moussaoui in custory in August 2001 and noted that he seemed to want to fly a plane into the World Trade Center.

    It's estimated that there are 200,000 early deaths from air pollution a year just in the US. So it makes sense that fossil fuels would actually be the most expensive once health is factored in.

    Good point. There was no Wikileaks nor blaming of the Russians involved with Trump's 2005 comments and his 1995 tax return.

    The people complaining about free stuff never seem to complain about the free $2 trillion Iraq war we got that led to the creation of ISIS. We'd have a lot more money for stuff that actually helps people if we weren't focused on turning the middle east into even more of a shithole.

    When I moved to my present location I ordered AT&T UVerse a couple of weeks ahead of time. Well, it never showed up. I had multiple employees tell me I could get it at my address, and multiple tell me that I couldn't. Finally I gave up and got Comcast instead.

    Of course having competition requires good regulations. There would be a lot less competition here if the Justice department hadn't successfully blocked AT&T's purchase of T-Mobile.

    Agreed. This wait for commerical spaceflights that will charge us less than the Russians to hitch a ride is a pretty lousy strategy. The Chinese are probably the future of manned spaceflight.

    There are clearly too few jobs for the STEM field majors who graduate, but those who want cheaper labor have a much louder mouthpiece for their viewpoint. The media loves to compare the scores of every single 12th grader in the US to those select few in other countries who are going on to an engineering school, and then talk about how terrible we are doing in math. The comparisons are ridiculous.
