    May I suggest giving Thief and Thief 2 a whirl? Described as first person sneakers, they require you to listen well, move with stealth and plan your actions. By far my favourite "FPS" series.

    My ISP called saying I was using more bandwidth than "the average user". I replied "an average is made up of highs and lows, correct? I'm just keeping the average up." The lady asked me to cool the downloads but I've never heard back from them.

    Don't be suprised. OpenBSD's goals and claims to fame are stability, security and correctness. I donated a dual i386 mobo some time ago to them for the SMP project. I knew SMP on OpenBSD would be a long time coming, but also knew that when it came it would be well tested and solid.

    If you want support for the latest whiz-bang crud to work on your desktop (at any cost) then install the Linux kernel du jour and whatever leet distro is hot this month.

    Isn't it illegal to remove protection and distribute the unprotected product for free?

    If what you're suggesting were true then it would only be illegal to distribute cracked or unlicensed software if it were done for profit..

    If, as is suggested, other means of cracking these protected ebooks were used, will the authors of those programs be subject to arrest if they ever visit the US (assuming they are non-US residents)?
