Not once did I say I considered myself a writer. Still, I'm not afraid to write out "hell" and "damn" and "fuck" in the clear. As a reader, using punctuation decreases the readability of the text dramatically. On top of that it offends me--as though he thinks his audience is immature children, instead of the adults that read HHGTG long ago.

If he truly was concerned about self-censoring, and wanted to avoid insulting his readers, he should have avoided using the words entirely.

"WHO THE H*#&! ARE YOU AND WHAT GIVES YOU THE"...

    could have been

"WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT GIVES YOU THE"...

if he was so worried about it. I hope the producers of the movie have the sense to leave all words used unbleeped, to allow the story to flow, instead of to highlight whatever it is he's embarassed about.

There's no need for life to be harder for the smart students. It isn't fair to ask them to work extra hard to get the same credit, and at the end of the day, the very same piece of paper that a less-smart student receives.

You do need to understand the writer's abilities so you can encourage them to do better, if necessary. But there's no reason to withold giving a student an A, simply because they've had A's the whole time and haven't shown any improvement.

In the case of a student doing way better than their peers, it's more appropriate to challenge them further. Move them in to the accelerated classes. Let them take on the advanced cirriculum, and pass or fail it there.

At least then they can say they took AP classes, which will help them stand out from the rubber-stamp high school diplomas if they decide to go to college.

It's not just jealousy in this case. If it were a single player game, it would hardly matter if someone could buy a boost. But in a game where the competition revolves solely around the monsters available to fight, and the number of monsters available to fight does not scale with the level of the player base, then artifical boosts in player power will have a significant negative effect on the players who do not choose to pay extra.

One major problem is people tend to make a site overly dynamic, or don't cache frequently run queries/functions. Zend Optimizer can help, as can the other Zend products, but only to a point.

    2) Try thousands of users (it's not uncommon). Lots of free porn is out there, but the goal is to tease the surfer into pulling out a credit card. The reason it isn't used in urban settings is primarily because of poor growth management on the parts of cities, and of course good ol supply and demand.

Still, some power is better than others, and by using electric equipment, we can (pretty much) adapt it to any future power generation that comes along. That's what I'm looking forward to, personally - a safer/cleaner electrical power generation system.
