You overlook the fact that these "supposedly freedom loving Americans" live in a police state, and are brainwashed from birth to believe that they are free and superior to the rest of the world due to that "freedom". It is really quite funny to watch from outside.
Everyone already knows that Linux users hold their liquor better than anyone else. I bet it has something to do with all that free beer I keep hearing about.
I have found that the worst drivers I know, always seem to believe that they are fantastic drivers, and that all the collisions they get into are all other peoples fault.
You neglected to mention that all contact numbers for Microsoft are now out of service, microsoft.com is giving a 404 error, and all email sent to known microsoft cronies is bouncing back as undeliverable.
Yes, send me all your money and all your questions will be answered.
Just to be clear:
I was brought up Catholic.
I went to Catholic School.
I was an alterboy.
I was never molested by anyone.
I seriously considered becoming a priest.
I am not now, nor have I ever been an atheist.
For reasons that are far too complicated and personal to go into here I started looking at all religions in a historical perspective. The conclusion I came to is that religion has caused more pain and suffering than any other one cause in history.
Please note, I said "religion" not faith, not God, and not The Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Surely Microsoft is a well-run corporation with long term planning. Surely they have a future roadmap of where they want Windows to go over the next 5 years. Surely Vista and 7 were intentional stepping stones along their master plan.

Hmm, how come every Scientology story must have some post diverting attention to Catholicism, trying to lend legitimacy to Scientology as a religion?
I believe you have it backwards. I think the post you reference is trying to point out that there is really no reason not to treat catholicism with the same utter contempt that we treat scientology.
I personally think it should be taken one step further than that. All organized religion should be treated with utter contempt.
Perhaps I am paranoid, but think of all the good that Apple has gotten out of Pystar:
Massive free advertising.
Defacto confirmation of their OS license.
Now no one else will try what Pystar did.
If I were a betting man I would bet on Steve Jobs owning a large piece of Pystar.
Your car analogy is incomplete, and incorrect.
Instead imagine I buy a Ferrari engine, and put it into a Dodge Neon. Now this is entirely legal, and none of their business. The lawyers will only get involved when I start building these in bulk, and start a company to sell my new "Ferrari compatible" cars.
Still not perfect, but a lot closer than the original.
Unfortunately stupidity is not terminal often enough. I blame the nanny state, and warning lables on everything.
My favourite example: A hair dryer with the warning "Do not use in bath." If you are stupid enough to use an electrical appliance in the bath, you deserve to die!
I don't get seasonal flus. I don't get colds. I get a headache two or three times a year. I get a runny nose a few times a year (usually at the same time people are getting really sick with whatever is going around at the moment). I get sore throats and congestion, but I'm never sure if that is the cigarette smoking or something else.
I was the same way until 6 month ago when I quit smoking. I thought that with my superior immune system, and new healthier lifestyle I was pretty much a lock to never get sick again.
Boy was I wrong! Since then I have had H1N1 that lasted 10 days, and something my doctor couldn't identify. (I called it the my sleeping sickness.) For 5 days I could not stay awake. I was sleeping 20+ hours a day.
My theory is that my immune system had gotten used to dealing with virus/bacteria that were swimming in nicotine, and many other toxic chemicals, and now it has to go up against these bugs at full strength.
I hope my below average immune system adjusts soon.
and when Windows asks a question, most people go with the default. I got $5 that says the default is IE.
I actually like this system, because it gives me implied governmental approval to copy as I see fit.
I have some capital I would like to invest in your idea. :)

The first rule of Spam Club, is never talk about Spam Club.
Consuming the Library of Congress sounds like fun...
See you all in 20 months.
Correct. You should have sent them an MP3 of the song. Then reported them to the RIAA.
This is Canada. Our politicians don't f*ck hookers.
Our politicians get their jollies f*cking the Canadian public.

Not if you take out your frustration on it first. Say, with a baseball bat, or any other blunt object.

Q: What is the difference between a religion and a cult?
A: Time.

The first was the only one worth watching. The second and third were the same movie with different guest stars, and locations.
You give them your cell number? Work can have my cell number when they start paying the bill.

That won't be confusing.
I say that as a KDE user.
