    Neither can I. The article links to the article at Google Docs and that one links to a Youtube video. Wait, it says they used RoboSchool RoboschoolInvertedPendulum-v1 environment, whatever that is. The quotation for that one is

    I can see this moving from annual subscriptions, to monthly, to daily, to hourly.

    That's true already. We have hourly rates at work for eg. Arcgis and Mapinfo. They something like €1.5 per hour.

    There's one Brian Aldiss at the 18th place from the beginning, and he should be quite well known to scifi fans. He died last year, though, so he isn't demaning anything any more (his publisher might).

    I have been under the impression Europa's ice cover is expected to be something like 100 km thick. It seems like a flight of fantasy to try to penetrate through that..?

    Other than that, I'm certainly all for sending a probe to Europa. I think the first probe could concentrate on analysing the ice cover in great detail.

    I parsed the headline right away as: NASA [subject] tests [predicate active verb] (a drone to explore Jupiter's moon) [object] (in Antarctica) [adverbial]. Granted, English is not my first language...

    I find that unlikely. Linux will se more adoption, though, I guess.

    I'm also slightly amused when that kind of think comes from Gnome blogs. Is Schalller an actual Gnome dev?

    Remember, kids, that The Twilight Zone is part of the CBS Family, which sounds a little like the Manson Family. As reported a few days ago, CBS sues man for copyright over screenshots of 59-year-old TV show:

    A CBS spokesperson wouldn't identify the exact nature of Tannen's alleged infringement. The company offered only this statement via e-mail: "Matt, Doc, Chester and Miss Kitty are part of the CBS family. Anybody who tries to do them dirt will end up on boot hill."

    This is as good place as any to post some current problems with KDE/Plasma under (K)ubuntu. I know, it works better under eg. OpenSUSE, which I'm using on a laptop. I might go for it on my desktop machine as well...

    • If set to use high focus capture prevention, the application menu only flashes very briefly when there are windows on the screen
    • Application menu stops to appear sometimes, requiring logout/login cycle
    • Tweaking locale settings is less detailed than in KDE4

    Overall, I keep returning to KDE. I haven't had complete luck with wireless and certain mouse and keyboard shortcuts in eg. XFCE. (Does anyone know how I can, in XFCE, bind right mouse button (not middle) in title bar to "lower window"? How can I set super+tab for "walk around workspaces"?)

    Google Translate works better (not superbly well, mind you) for translating language like Swedish (closely related to English) than, say, Finnish or Cantonese.Of course, most working-age Swedes speak rather understandable English...
