  2. I don't agree on Why the Kill Switch Makes Sense For Android · · Score: 5, Interesting

I do not think that a kill switch is good for anything -- regardless of whether or not it is only for official-market-regulated products.

People see kill switch as bad because it violates the freedom to install anything on their phone. It is right in Apple case, because Apple's App Store is the only source for app on iPhone. But it is different in Google case, as you can install programs from another sources other than Google one. So if you want some app, just find a source for it. Google kill switch only work for app that come from Googles App store, and that will make sure Google don't spread malware or anything bad. Have you ever thought of upgrading windows and then your computer is infested with malware and bugs? Well, there are bugs, but not not malware.

A netbook with tablet form factor should be good, Gigabyte has already made one but still not good enough. I not only want something that I can bring everywhere but also be able to use everywhere. The one from gigabyte is too big and expensive for a netbook. It also need to be cheap, after all everything I demand from a netbook is web browsing, music and some paperworks. Oh, and it will be great if that netbook can boot in less than 10 seconds (= no windows :) )

I have also tested 7zip and Winrar, while 7zip is a bit slower I sure that it does not take 10x as long as winrar to uncompress something. I also found that 7zip have better compression rate than rar though not much (at least with my files).
