    I use it for international calling on my cellphone. Paying only a couple cents vs. a few dollars a minute that I assume all US mobile carriers are charging.

    Trying to get FF7 PC to run halfway decently on a non-Voodoo card was the equivalent of torture. I had a G200 and later a TNT2 :(

    You can always break the contract and pay the ETF. Although I remember reading that Google is charging a separate ETF in addition to the one you'd have to pay T-Mobile.

    More surprising to me was that in CoH/V PvP is not played as described. I play WoW, on both PvP and carebear servers, and boy do I get ganked whenever I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time. There is no such "polite agreement" between Ally and Horde in WoW. How did one get established in CoH/V?

    In CoH, players of opposing factions can talk to each other.

    Same here. In fact, I "pre-screwed" myself by consciously buying the G1 without a contract, paying $380 for the privilege to remain out of a contract.

    I got mine at Walmart for $375 plus tax without signing a contract.

    I'm pretty sure T-Mobile stores sell the phone sans contract as well, for $400.

    When it comes to heatsinks, fans and thermal compounds, Micro Center has had the largest selection that I've seen. I remember seeing Scythe S-FLEX fans and Xigmatek direct-touch heatpipe heatsinks (the S1283 if you have to know).

    I know this is just a sample of one, but have you ever seen a Nokia 5310 in person? T-Mobile carries it now and you will find it in most stores. It has a 3.5mm jack and is a hair below 10 mm in thickness.

    In FF3, if you're quick with your keystrokes, you can kill it by hitting Enter and then immediately Alt-F4 (if it's the only tab) or Ctrl-F4 (if you have other tabs open).

    That Wikipedia article is not very consistent - I'm seeing both ÂR and R being used. So is unit "Rankine" or "degree Rankine"? Do we say "one Rankine" or "one Rankine degree"?

    ...but isn't this how pretty much every other phone is sold in the States? Except maybe that there won't be an option to purchase it without a contract. Apple tried to do things differently when the original iPhone was released, but apparently that model came back and (so to say) bit it in the butt with a significant quantity "MIA" from the point of view of the AT&T and the company (whose name I forgot) that processed the activations.

    Actually, the NVS series seems to be strictly aimed at the business/multi-monitor crowd, competing with the likes of Matrox. They don't run games very well.

    I have an Xbox 360. Now that the HD-DVD add-on is only $50, I'm pondering about getting it. What exactly can I do with the drive? Besides hooking it up to the Xbox and play HD-DVDs, that is.
