    WhatsApp was good enough for group-chat at a time when Google Talk couldn't even reliably deliver messages. Also WhatsApp is like a closed ecosystem with no support for third party clients, and in this method has forced growth by word of mouth. If your friends are using WhatsApp then you have little choice but to use it too.

    Personally I wish Google hadn't let GTalk sit idle for so long because being able to access your messages from multiple clients including the browser is extremely convenient.

    1. Any good media player will open the CUE and play the FLAC with track information. No need to mount the ISO.
    2. The FLAC rips will take about half the space of ISO.
    3. Any good CD Burner will burn the CUE back to a CD or create an ISO by uncompressing the FLAC.

    For comparison there are an average of 121 deaths per year from drowning at beaches, harbours and rivers.

    Furthermore in 2010 217 people died as a result of an assault and 1,503 died as a result of a transport accident (706 car, 236 motorcycle, 227 pedestrian)

    Does that put it in perspective?

    Late in 2009 I had the opportunity to setup a brand new D-Link DAP 1522 access point and I discovered a telnet interface with hardcoded credentials in the firmware. I have never disclosed the vulnerability to the vendor or publicly. Four years later the issue is still there on most D-Link SOHO network devices.

    I don't doubt the existence of this vulnerability, just the motives and timing behind disclosing publicly on this blog.

    In the standard A and B plugs the data pins are recessed compared to the power pins. Grab any standard cable and you can slide it in until the power makes contact, giving you charging without any data connection.

    I've been doing this for years to charge a MP3 device without it being mounted by the host computer.

    There's no shortage of people willing to spend more than $400 for an iPad.

    The convenience of a tablet device should not be underrated, though at that price you can get an ultra-light netbook or a fully fledged ultra-portable laptop.

    This extension is really just a API to communicate with DRM plugins. Whilst it would be good to standardise on a single API, it still requires having closed source plugins to do the actual decoding.

    Not going to happen. Read about how the "restoration" literally replaced the original film. The Theatrical versions only exist in memories now.
