Glad I did. I don't intend on putting much more than saves and having the drive for games that take advantage of the cache.
Got it on thursday at Best Buy, they refunded me the difference earlier today.
I'm curious why. I went from programmer in school to sysadmin due to lack of programmer positions in my area and the job was open. Now, I hate the developers, I hate the programmers and I can't stand the shortcuts they make and poor decisions they make.
Knowing what I know from both sides makes me a better Sysadmin I feel.
Across the board it costs far more to do these than it does any other upgrade, and in particular if you shop for yourself. But considering the average consumer will drive to Best Buy and overpay for hardware there anyway, who cares.
Honestly this isn't news, if Apple gets away with charging someone 200, 300 or even 1000% more for a simple upgrade that could have been averted with research, more power to them. I have no sympathy for people who refuse to research before buying. Apple gets what they charge because people pay for it. I knew perfectly well what I was buying when I got my macbook and I had $200 in memory and hard drive (at the time) from Newegg sitting waiting at home for what would have cost me another $700 from Apple. And in the end I was even able to use the hard drive I took out as an external drive.
While we're at it, lets talk about the fact that Apple charges more for different color versions of the same product. This story is pointless.
Yet another reason I'm glad to be moving toward playing under Linux instead of directly under windows.
I know I'm not 100% immune but many of the mainstream attacks are eliminated.
The part that advertised the Penny Arcade game when I decided to install steam and HL2 on my new ubuntu box a few days ago.
I couldn't get the window to go away either (though that was moreso a windows manager or wine issue).
... He's selling all of the things in the list, it's no different than someone selling the contents of a large lot of goods.
Now if he were actually selling himself as part of it, or even his identity (which he clearly isn't if he's walking out with ID and Passport) then we'd have a story.
Otherwise we just have a random pile of expensive crap for sale and/. just advertised it.
We only have a two out at a time plan and it works great, at any given time we have two movies to pick from. No arguments over someone hogging all of the movie choices, options most of the time for either of us to watch (save for the 2 days between sending an old one out and recieving a new one in).
But considering 1 in 5 discs I've gotten from them is bad and needs a replacement coupled with the loss of queues and having a blockbuster around the corner, I think I may be looking for a change. Their online unlimited movies just isn't worth it considering the mainstream movies are few and far between.
Why do you care, end result is the same either way.
If you want an unlocked one, pay the price for it which will be the retail price on the phone + cancellation fee.
Do people really use them? I don't use any of the widgets on my Mac OSX system. I sort of used the calculator, but do I really need one in the background all the time? On Vista I shut down the sidebar, what a huge waste of resources. And why do I need a clock gadget when there's one already in the system tray? This just seems like a gimmick to waste collective time.
I'm waiting for the next story of Wii related injuries that are tied to the Wii Balance board. You know there are idiots out there with no balance and this time instead of the Wii mote impaling the TV, we'll have people that fell through their TVs, walls, furniture, on the dog, etc.
They give you enough notification when you start your job that you can not use work time to basically influence partisan political activities, particularly raising funds.
There are a ton of restrictions for what you do while not on duty as well.
But above all, as others have said, he used work time to perform non-work related activities, so the fact that it was Internet or even politically related is irrelevant.
Or maybe you could take the tact that EVERYONE on board with the project should be taking home royalties including the voice actor, the sound engineers, the art department folks, level designers, character modelers, physics programmers, story writers, etc.
It may be low cost/free software for us, but rest assured it costs Apple a lot of money to develop, test and support things like iTunes, MacOSX, Safari, etc. It's no wonder they subsidize it with hardware costs.
Seriously, evidence of a section of books at a bookstore is not evidence that something is a copy of something else, it's just evidence that the bookstore only has so much room for headers.
Otherwise I would have to complain my local B&N doesn't carry a Ruby Programming section.... or Perl Programming section. Hell, those must be copies of Java programming since there is a Java Programming section. Get real Darl.
This is stupid, every agency in the world is jumping on to the "down with GTA" bandwagon just so they can get their 15 minutes of attention.
The game doesn't promote drunk driving any more than it promotes any other activity. It's a sandbox.
Hey I can jump off a bridge and drown in the game too, maybe the game promotes suicide....

Yeah that's about right.

That was the first thought that came to mind for me too.

WM sucks and Palm is mostly dead. Blackberry is the competitor.

You presume alot
"especially for smartphones."
Is it really a "widget" then? It's basically a running application there.

Regardless I want it, it'd be great to have a nice TV size interface for it.

Mine would be if the LAN group here weren't so retarded as to think that changing appearances was a security issue.
Or maybe you could take the tact that EVERYONE on board with the project should be taking home royalties including the voice actor, the sound engineers, the art department folks, level designers, character modelers, physics programmers, story writers, etc.
It's amazing you say that because I like both movies.
You feel like a loser? I've been reading /. for something like 7 or 8 years now and look at my id....
Yeah I'm an idiot for not signing up sooner.

"Hi, I'm a Mac" "and I am a PC" "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR and I be a MacCLone!" (the Mac guy wearing a pirate outfit).
