Honestly, as much as I hate the idea of steam, at least I don't have to call them at 3 in the morning to install my f'ing game.
They also don't care how many systems I install their games to, just as long as I'm only logged into Steam on one.
If you believe the stock system works, the stock will be worth after this all settles as much as it should have been worth all along. The hope ideally is that it would reach $12, otherwise it was just an overpriced stock to begin with.
Haha right. Google should be responsible for relisting a story that had no proper dateline. Right. The fact that OTHER aggregators picked it up from google has nothing to do with it. The fact that autotraders picked it up from the automated aggregators without verification is their fault.
I'm sorry but people to much faith in automation and all I've ever learned is that machines are as dumb as or dumber than their creators.
Regardless, I garauntee group A lost a lot of money on this deal and in the meantime group B recognized it wasn't a recent story and made a lot of money on stock they scooped up at $3 a share.
The overall networth of the company will rebalance and if it was ever worth the $12 a stock, it should get there again. If it doesn't, the stock system is a failure.
It looks like they ripped all the icons off of Apple domain (the demo screenshot is even in a Safari browser)...
I thought the idea was to create environments that looked native?
Are they even allowed to use Apple's icons?
Get a job in public sector.

I'm in IT and in the public sector represented by the CWA.
The pay is crap but I work 5 days a week seven hours a day (plus an hour lunch) and get paid OT or time and a half back for extra work hours.
I make more than enough to live.
I'm pretty sure I'd rather take the bloatware over what other things might be installed with a copy of windows from Piratebay.
I agree with the grandparent poster, reinstall isn't an option these days with the crappy method of restoring pcs in place. I find it abominable that PC makers aren't forced (by M$ no less) to include the base media CDs devoid of vendor crap.
Why perform a task with one technology when we can brutalize a dozen proprietary and potentially broken technologies to the same effect.
Sounds like IT to me.
...That the people downloading or obtaining a "pirated" copy of something is called the pirate?
The pirate, is the person that made the illegal copy available. They are the one stealing from others.
Stop calling me a pirate, and I'll stop looking for copies of the game that don't contribute to spreading falsehoods and making me feel like criminal.
I miss the Arch Deluxe to this day. It was the best sandwich ever. I don't eat McDonalds and haven't for at least the last 4 years now (6 if you consider I stopped eating dinner menu items well before that), but I still get cravings for that sandwich and Big Macs.
I'm still convinced there's crack in the burgers.
... no.... Infinity minus 3 is infinity. It gave us infinity too >>few installs. I know, Math is hard.

You don't own it.... you own a license to view what's on the disk. See how they get you there.
Truth. Mod up parent.
Since when does Guild Wars have a native client for Linux?
Wow. Just wow.
What manager thought it would be a good idea to announce, before the product shipped, that -
You don't know that, maybe they're planning on open sourcing it after release..... Oh, right. Microsoft. Nevermind, the game will suck.
No it doesn't "beg the question". It should be making people ask though, was the stock really worth $12.

I love armchair admins.

I signed up... can I please have a method for turning off entire sections of Slashdot.
IE was not the first to have a built in private/"porn" mode, stop pretending like it did and that everyone else is stealing it from M$.

Some places (I know some areas of Pittsfield, Mass. do) provide unlimited water for a flat rate.
Hmmm... I wonder if there's any research on vector based sprites.

You paid $200 for a plan subsidized phone. It's still a $600 phone.
"reasonable" is subjective.

For the love of god yes. Then maybe the macro and UI system will get fixed and we'll get a good Linux client rather than needing to run Wine.
At least you see the stick, where I work, they give me the stick, it's just in a place I can't see it.

I came.
I saw.
I Konquered.
There, fixed it for you
