    This is completely wrong. The belief that vaccines are bad and cause autism and other problems is distinctly a liberal issue. Yes, there are religious people who won't use medicine for religious reasons but they're a tiny minority among religious people. At least in the US. I'm not talking about crazy political conspiracy theories about the US using vaccines to kill people in foreign countries.

    The summary makes its seem like they're using the X-rays to do the heating and compressing when in reality the material is compressed in a diamond anvil cell. The X-rays are used to study how the material changes under heat and pressure. The original article makes the same mistake.

    This is the same stupid argument the libertarians always use. If private industry would have done it then why didn't they? I'd rather have something sooner rather than later. Who knows how much longer it would have taken for private industry to invent the internet on its own; 10, 20 years?

    this is the dumbest idea I've ever heard of. Time zones are very useful and easy to use. Having people use UTC for local time is utterly stupid.

    Are you kidding me? Blue and Parmesano-Reggiano cheese are some of the best cheeses. Parmesano-Reggiano cheese on spaghetti is awesome. Based on this I'm going to assume the goat and sheep cheese are pretty good.
