    Hate to break this to everyone but each human you produce will inevitably increases your carbon footprint by 10x. So even if you stop using petroleum, chances are your spawn won't.

    And to take that even further, I rarely game, but when I do I am usually motivated by a friend of mine to play online with them. I don't care if I win or lose, I am really just there to hang out, and watch them play, while playing. So I guess it's an immersive viewing of the story. Any cooperative game online game you can wonder through and watch people play.

    Really you're going to split hairs on this? Are you a long distance runner? I'm guessing no, so just drink water. It's really not that hard to just jump cold turkey and drink water all the time. It's free and there's no sugar or chemicals.

    Really? I think this would a perfect article for video. Any video taken of this person would be in the public domain by now. Is there any video out there? I have no idea, but this kind of video doesn't preach to the youtube crowd so where else would you find it online? It's easy enough to find his picture. Wikimedia.org has becom a repository for these types of pictures, you just need to cite the National Library of Australia as its source. This is exactly where wikipedia excells, getting all the library's public domain pictures from all over the world scanned and publish, why couldn't they do the same with public domain video and become a repository for it? There's got to be video of this guy out there somewhere, he's an explorer, that's what they do, get documented going somewhere. Unfortunately it's probably in a vault somewhere.

    Nothing says you have to write 2k words on your blog post, you could write 120 characters on any blogging site and do the same thing.

    New research shows that anyone with the compulsion to post to a blog is physically unable to resist the urge to write anyting less than a 2,000 word bloviation. Twitter is to a blogger as a Nicoderme patch is to smoker.

    Picasa was Ok until I started working with RAW files. Adobe Lightroom 3 is still in a free Beta and has been for awhile. I'm not sure what they'll ask me to pony up for it, but at this point it might be worth it. Just checked, looks like it expires April 30th 2010. http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lightroom3/

    That seems to be the point he is making, that we do live in a censored world and it is up to us to find ways to take these freedoms back. As a capitalist he finds opportunities to serve his consumers, and in this case he uses pop-ups. Sure it's kind of a hack, but hey, if I subscribed to his proxy list -and put up with intrusive ads- I could at least get uncensored internet (just kidding corporate overlords, I would never betray you!). It might even be less intrusive than my hundred $ unlimited data cell phone bill, which I currently use to do the same thing.

    Exactly. My POS '99 Ford Explorer has a cruise control recall due that apparently causes the car to explode in flames (their words). My point here is that I am sure Ford knew about the problem years in advance and finally broke out their profit/loss calculator after the law suits started piling up and decided it was time to fix it. Design flaws are here to stay, is this a surprise? A for profit company has different legal liabilities (both to the public and their shareholders) than an open source community has.

    Are those 3D printers good enough that I can print off an Ubuntu 4-door hybrid yet?
