    I'm sorry to be awkward, but who's really using Facebook? I have an account in the same way I'm buying useless .org/.net domains: in order to stave off name/domain squatting. But really, is somebody actually using this? I guess I'm not in the target market, but could someone tell me what the market is, apart from the obvious teen throng?

    Or ISP trying to avoid bandwidth-hogging freeloaders. As an ISP, I'd try to block YouTube and P2P next - but I've got the feeling that innocents trying to fire Torrent clients on public Wifi hotspots will realize the latter has been done without as much publicity as porn.

    Oh yes meetings are work. They've got all the attributes:
    • Mandatory
    • Tedious
    • Repetitive
    • Mostly useless

    Reminds me of school, and we all know that if you enjoyed school, you'll love work... In comparison, tinkering with an interesting software problem can sometimes be so fun I could feel ashamed to be paid for it.

    Plus, if things have not changed since the 90s, Finns have something of a problem with hiring personal servants. I mean, in 1990 people in Helsinki were hiding the fact they hired a maid. That said, two of the most luminous and happy years of my life were lived in that collectivist hell :-).

    Wish I had mod points for you, sir. The actual French problem with advertising revenue is that the printed press is moribund from its steady decline; thriving journalism seems to relocate in the pure players sector (Rue89, Mediapart, Slate, etc). Which means there *is* advertising revenue, just not for the printed press anymore. Another law to try and protect an already dead economic sector, I wish we could conform to the stereotype and surrender more readily (the cheese eating part is fine, though)
