Britain's had an on/off relationship with private possession of weapons over the centuries, ranging from mandatory to outlawed, but I believe the origin of modern British gun control lies in fears over a Communist revolution during the interbellum. From there, it's been easy to scream "think of the children" every time an excuse has come up, to the point where only 1 party supports private gun ownership anymore (the BNP, ironically).
And all that survived were those fingerpaints up in a French cave originally made by a Down syndrome kid... Somehow, I just know it was originally a picture of Sonic the Hedgehog. Ug say "Yiff in Neolithic afterlife, furfags"
I wonder how many people in New Orleans could be helped with $1,000,000,000. Well, going by the outstanding success of the cards they handed out, strip club owners would be happy. Any reason these people can't help themselves?
No, the DNA sample gets taken even if you're just arrested and cautioned, mine's on record from being arrested 6 years ago for breach of the peace even though it never went to court.
The first problem could provide a solution to the second - I'm sure people who are vehemently opposed to animal testing will be willing to volunteer their bodies, right?
Does anyone have a list of the smaller/more honest registrars? I remember on the last Network Solutions article there were a few people talking about the better service at some of the less well known ones.
Do you have any idea how much tragedy has been preceded by the idea that fighting back is wrong, that the law will deal with it and that the state should have a monopoly on violence?
Excession and Look to Windward?

I'd have to completely disagree with the claim that these two are the best Culture novels to start with. I've read Look to Windward 3 times and I still can't work out why they go to the airsphere, and Excession all too often bears the signs of the sad sight of a grown man left to masturbate in his own literary devices. If you haven't read a Culture book before, do yourself a favour and grab a copy of the The Player of Games, Matter (which is probably the most straightforward novel he's done) or Consider Phlebas.
China has already started using organs from executed prisoners, how long before it spreads to India and even the West? I think the word you want is actually "murdered", not "executed".
It's a way of life. Goddamn dipsoaurigaeophobic bigots

People were scared of Labradors and Retrievers? What were they going to do, drown them in spittle and affection?
Anyone surprised?
A grown man who reads Eddings? Wow, you really do see something new every day.
Not a troll, he's right. I'll point to a Friday afternoon post pub lunch as the cause, rather than blanket ignorance.
Mod parent up, moral relativism is a bullshit creed of cowards and sophists.

Traffic is backing up 10 miles after a driver crashed reading Live.com when he should have been paying attention to the road
Does it run Crysis?
Made in China?

Looking at page 3 doesn't count as reading. Actually, it probably does under Zanu-Labour's educational standards.

Justice for the Beaker People! Send the Celts back where they came from.
Only white nations cause pollution, don't you know anything?
Commentators note this is the first example of vermin joining a sinking ship.
What I really want to know is how is Simon DeDeo hovering at 30,000ft?
Perhaps he's lacking necessary gravity.
Whooosh!

I'm never walking home from the pub again. Thank you, DARPA.
