Yes I use the XDHC slot and I dont want to wait a week for these to transfer over wifi. slapping the card in the macbook was super fast and worked great.
Macbook pros are not for pros anymore. It sounds like they really want to eliminate any professional use of their products by removing features that pro photographers use heavily.
It is pretty sad when the last version of the product is significantly better than the latest version.
Pass laws that force cable companies to sell internet separate at capped pricing where they can not punish you for not getting cable packages. recently moved to florida from the midwest and I get 4X the bandwidth for 1/2 the price and they cant charge me extra for not getting cable tv. a cheap antenna gets me about 18 channels if I really think I need to watch some stupid live sports event. or live news.
$39 a month for 100mbps/10mbps Comcast was raping me at $70 for 15Mbps/1.5mbps in Michigan
250ma/500ma from inductive charging is easy. it's when you ramp up to 1Amp where things get dangerous for consumers. you cant have some idiot user throw their keys on the thing and let it start a fire, so I am betting they are working with some NFC tech to make the phone talk to the charging plats so that it only starts charging if an iphone is on it, plus look at the load and turn off charging if some idiot threw teir phone and the keys on it.
Everyone else's inductive charging is very low amperage, no way in hell I would want to charge a modern high battery capacity phone at 250ma, I dont have 12 hours for it to charge completely.
