  1. Re:FAA Shutdown on FAA Taking a Look At News Corp's Use of Drone · · Score: 1

The FAA battle is about union busting, a mainstay of your Teabagger buddies. I guess expecting public employees to work for free is the logical next step in the minds of Teabaggers.

If every FAA employee not getting paid would cease reporting to work and seek other employment, the matter would be resolved much faster.

There will never be a "tipping point" in the lay-down-and-take-it nation. The pornoscanning and groping of children by $12/hr public employees is here to stay. The gov't has already made its own case for doing so by invoking "terrorism." "Terrorism" as a means of control still really resonates with the Fox News/Teabag/security-statist ignoranti who otherwise claim to hate the the gov't.

The law does not specify intent. Also, there is a big different between harassing someone via the telephone (direct, person-to-person) and, say, posting a pic on your own website or social networking page. So it's open season on any image that your_group_here does not like. If you are a Southern Baptist/evangelical/teabagger/whatever, that image could be of just about anything--a mosque, Catholic icons, cap from Southpark, or even simply Obama.

Revere's own account does not back up this nonsense. Instead it includes an account of what he told British officers when held at gunpoint once captured. He was not "ridin' his horse through town" for the purpose of warning British patrols, which he was striving to avoid.

I believe that your recent letter to John Morton and Eric Holder represents a "still small voice" of resistance in a dangerous slide to corporatism. When former President Eisenhower warned against the military-industrial complex no one listened--- and perhaps rightfully so since the attack on our rights comes not from Northrup and Boeing, but from Hollywood and Walt Disney. It is still an attack designed to eliminate precious rights that all citizens need preserved even if they don't clearly under stand them. I salute your efforts and would like to know how I might help in your efforts.

I don't particularly expect a response and have no idea of what I could do, other than to voice my support. Still as the events of the last month or so have shown, great change comes from critical mass and critical mass is acquired incrementally...
