    Sometimes you don't need the appliances to last as long. Take TVs for example. People often replace TVs to go bigger, or to get a newer model. If you are changing in your TV every 5 years, than a Wal*Mart TV will do. You don't need to pay for Sony quality (to last 10+ years), when you are looking to get a new set every 5.

    Another great example is a DVD player. $20 for a DVD player that you might have to replace after a few years might make more sense for someone than $100-200 for one that will last two, three, even 10 times longer.

    Very true. I purchase from Amazon every so often; usually books. The majority of the time, the books are being sold from someone else than Amazon.

    Probably because they did not empty them often enough. Once it over flows, a lot of people don't have a problem throwing trash on the ground near it.

    If you can't pay, you can't pay. America does not have the cash on hand to repay the debt to China. Therefore, America would default.

    You are assuming that the 1.3 billion Chinese will have the disposable income to purchase games at the same level someone in America or Europe does. If they did, the GDP of China would be 4 to 5 times that of the US, it is not and is not going to be any time soon.

    China has a lot of people, a lot of poor people without the disposable income to purchase video games at the same price as people in the US and European markets.

    While there are a lot of people in China, the disposable income per person in China is much lower than in the US and Europe.

    Many reasons. They did not get involved in an Arms race to the same extent and their income comes from more diverse sources than the USSR's did are two good reasons. And of course, like you said, they've implemented levels of capitalism.

    Technically, no. Technically there was no declaration of war by Congress; Hence no war.

    government-funded Internet access is fine (even with issues like this) when there is still a non-government-funded option.

    I did the same thing with my Mother's PC. However, I gave her the Password to the Admin so that she could install new software herself and clear instructions that she is not to use the Admin account for any reason except to install new software. She has done well (so far).

    I do not think you have enough evidence to back up your presumption:

    If you presume, that everything you do is good per se, for all mankind, and thereby you presume again that you cannot do evil and simply do not have to care or check anymore if you are violating somebody's rights, privacy or whatever.

    Your Statement:

    So naming a language "Go" when even a superficial search with your own engine shows you that somebody had this idea before may not be evil (that is a very strong word)

    Does not justify your presumption.

    Except that 75 Pounds didnt go towards legally purchasign a game. It went to the person who mod'ed the X-Box. So it's not a wash for MS.
