you can get new pc laptop that cheap, goin by prices on apple.com you can't get one their for anything short of a 1000$, might well go for that wepad that the one german company made, least they are not tieing ur ass down like mac does with all their crap. With all the tie downs they mark price for their stuff a good 50-70% higher then pc counter part with same hardware. you mac fan boys can call me a troll or flamer all you want but facts are Facts.
yup no demo to see if the game is good = more people like to pirate the game. I pirate games i admit it, but if i find the game is worth it i will go buy it. If they eliminate demo's as is, PC games are pretty much non-returnable like console game is. so if you shell 50-60$ for a pc game you are stuck with it.
the info was stored on the laptop when she Gave it back so sounds like she pretty much handed the emails over to them, cause she didn't have the brains to know pretty much anything you do on a computer is stored on the drive for a period of time is no excuse.
what if she used her private email to send email with sensitive company info to a competitor? They have the right to monitor all data sent over their networks and any computer they own.
I guess it means most companies (aka dlink, linksys, etc) have to get off their ass and add support to their routers since most home routers don't support ipv6.
Since most ppl use encryption on their illegal downloads now days, ISPs can't tell if its legal or illegal cause far as they know it could be say a Linux distro or even a game from a company that uses bitorrent like system (aka blizzard does)
RIAA just won't quit will they. Their idea would require ISP's to spend money, they don't even want to spend money to upgrade their networks to deal with increased load.
Buddy of mine had a box at ovh and he found ssh keys stored in the "/root/.ssh" which can be setup to allow log in without need of the password, he found stored ssh keys in there from them and log's showing someone from the datacenter going in there and poking around. you should check in there to see if there are keys in there and delete them and change all your passwords.
They have the right to run their service the way they want to. they also have the right to change their terms of service when ever they want to and don't even have to tell you. if you thought modding a console and never would get banned well they you were ignorant and its no excuse to take it out on them for it, just like the law you are still guilty
MS believes that if you mod your console it is sole purpose for playing pirated games even if you only use backup legit games, they have no way to tell the difference if you own the game legit or pirated it, or if you even download games at all. Its a case of Collateral Damage. Since you remote the copy protection coding outta the console they actually have a case against you like mpaa had against programs that removed the protection on dvd's for making backup's
Since when is it "apple hardware" all a mac is, is just a pc parts in a flashy case with the apple logo stamped on it. they use intel processor and intel chipset.
yea right their is no reasonable rate, they charge 3cents per kilobyte and to put that in terms. Last time i checked cnn.com just to load the site would cost ya 21$
valve made a problem that takes all the crap of needing to keep disc's around that can get scratched. plus they made a system of drm that works and don't treat everyone like pirates. Also don't crash machines and cause more headaches for the legit customer then the pirates.
you may get what 100$, only people that make out in those is the lawyer. rest of the ppl get chump change. sell it on ebay use money for a pc you can make in to a media center pc
I've read it years ago that the USA is losing billions per year in tourism after the 9/11 border restrictions.
that and the hosting city of the games loses billions paying for the advertisement, police, etc. and when they end they are in the hole a few billion that has to come from somewhere.
"The order demands the anonymous Twitter user reveal their identity and stop posing as Donal Blaney, who blogs at a site called Blaney's Blarney."
it turns out the Anonymous poster was named Donal Blaney. Well then his copy write to the name is nothing more then toilet paper to said person

How is this a problem? By Law they are required to carry documentation with them, like a drivers license.

If its the current one in use don't see the problem really, all the tech in it is like what 20 years old?

Its a bitch when the rules and damage ammount you get set for things comes back to royally bite you in the ass as it has for CRIA

Apple filing suit against the site for violating some patent or what ever.
They will, it will give them another reason NOT to upgrade their networks like they should of 3 years ago

with steam its all rolled in to a nice client to do everything from
valve made a problem that takes all the crap of needing to keep disc's around that can get scratched. plus they made a system of drm that works and don't treat everyone like pirates. Also don't crash machines and cause more headaches for the legit customer then the pirates.
games on steam are same price as in a retail store, minus the cost of shipping the game to the store, box, cd/dvd.
That watered down crap will be sold to everyone so to keep valve outta any legal trouble .

Funny thing, MS said vista was the last windows to have a 32bit version back when they released it
