Absolutely. If Malware needs admin, it's disturbingly easy to phish for a sudo password. Linux tends to ask for your sudo password a dozen times a day, training users to enter it like a reflex. Linux, unfortunately, depends a great deal on not being installed on 90% of the worlds computers for any muppet to use, and having a disproportionate number of tech savvy geeks in it's userbase.
What kind of shit are you shovelling here? Nothing but updates should require password for day to day usage, and you can set security updates to run automatically in the background.
You should make the VMs available somewhere so we don't end up with everyone posting about their huge success in managing it! Plus it would be amusing to go back and look for yourself, for 5 mins max, I expect.
Haven't these guys heard of suspend/hibernate, does anyone leave their computer on all the time anymore unless it's actually a server and has something to do? If they do they should really be asking themselves why.

Files I have ripped from a Sony HDV camera into vegas crash the program and have to be processed using ffmpeg to make them usable. Sound Forge is alright but it hasn't changed since it was Sonic Foundry ~10 years ago. Fuck Sony.
