    I was going to post about this, but you and a few dozen other people beat me to it. Windows 7 ought to have a Windows legacy emulator that does NOT run by default. If you just run programs like Office/OpenOffice, a web browser, media player(s), etc., you would not need to load it up and your system would run a lot faster. And safer.

    Mod parent up, this is an excellent point. I think we will be seeing a prevalence of emphasis on individual skills and freelance work in the future.

    I was very much the same way - I run a personal computer repair business. I have had very few return customers - not because I do not do my job well, but because I do it too well. Some customers have called me many times for other issues (such as purchasing), emphasizing that they personally know I do a good job and I am honest with them. That is worth more to them than saving a few bucks.

    I'm sure any one of the parent's customers could find someone who could program for a quarter of his asking price - but they would likely not get the same quality, nor would they want to take the risk of working with someone whose skills they have not assessed.

    I've never asked for a movie ticket refund because the movie sucked, so why would you expect to refund a game if it sucks?

    Actually, if you leave during the first 15-20 minutes and tell the manager "The Movie sucks, I'd like a refund" they will generally oblige you.

    Right click on your AVG icon and click on "Open AVG User Interface". Right click on Linkscanner in Overview and click Open. Uncheck "Enable AVG Search-Shield (need web browser restart)". (You do not have to restart your browser to disable it.)

    Now click on Overview on the left to go back to the Overview screen. Right click on Linkscanner and select "Ignore component State". It's shut off and AVG won't whine at you for turning it off.
