    I can't see any new feature here that is worth upgrading, except maybe the USB IR transmitter if you have USB ports to spare.

    As for the new "IDE" software, that's great for kids, in that case get it. On the other hand, the mindstorm kit is for me so I can do with the multiple langauges (my favorite "not quite C") for the RCX.

    I have a six month old baby (first child too) and have already bought her a couple of lego sets for babies called "Primo", they are before the "Duplo" kind.

    Primo legos come for like 3 months and up, 6 months , 9 months etc.

    They're pretty simple, but she seems to like them ! Hopefully she'll always like these toys, they're the best !

    Yes I have a linksys, so they can work around that. I'm thinking of introducing yet other type of client software to cripple routers and keeping track of the numbers of PC using the network.

    But again, hopefully I'm being paranoid and this won't happen. But I wouldn't be surprised.

    What's going to happen is that they might come up with a horrible solution that maybe requires you to run some authentication client on your PC, and it'll probably be windows only ! Yuck.

    I hope they don't do that , but they might.

    You don't have to reboot in windows to do this.

    Just type in ;
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew


    Of course, my WinNT laptop sometimes get confused and I really have to reboot to make it work. But that's not most of the time. Hey, it's Windows after all ! LOL !

    I think part of the problem is not so much UI design (although that is a big issue), but a lack of graphic artist in these open source projects.

    Open Source just doesn't seem to attract the kind of artistic talent needed for help with interface asthetics, and game graphics.

    I'm not even sure what the patent consist of, it's too vague.

    CGN ? Isn't that backwards ???

    * Nintendo requests that the proper way to name CGN is "NINTENDO GAMECUBE" (all capitols). "Nintendo Gamecube" is also acceptable, but "Nintendo GameCube" and "Nintendo Game Cube" are both incorrect.

    I hope you work for Nintendo. It's pretty odd to see people telling others how corporations prefer their products to be capitalized !!!.
