So whatever intel comes up with or even Apple, they will simply show youtube content and so will line Google bottom line. They can try and create content outside the Google ecosystem but we know where that went with apple maps.
I hope they get all they want:-) Their products will get revalued and in the end they will get nothing extra. In the process they are trying to undo all that is the internet. Automation is an inevitable fact, it has been happening since especially the industrial revolution. The standard of living increases as more is produced per capita. The only problem is that if there is a standard of living imbalance across borders, some of that standard of living improvement happens in another country. The fact is that it is a good thing long term. Why should I as a westerner continue to live off the domestic product of the poor in the world without they reaping the rewards ? Rich can't eat money, they spend it somewhere, so ultimately this "money" thing is just an illusion. They can snort it up their nose or spend it on expensive toys for all I care. The standard of living is measurably improving, not at the same rate for all but the richest kings 100 years ago didn't have the conveniences most people have today. Somebody may have wiped their arse for them but their teeth fell out sooner, their kids often didn't make adulthood and so on...
Money is simply a reward to make people contribute more to society. All we need to do is figure out a way to reward those that contribute more to society for a better return to society.
What a brilliant way to create targeted groups ! In fact I am sure apple will soon come up with it as well and sue Google for patent violation.

I have just realised the major problem with the driverless car !! People knowing their behaviour and hacking it. In other words the cars are being developed to emulate how humans drive responding to normally expected behaviour of other humans. The problem that humans will treat driverless cars differently. For example a human realising that it is a driverless car will cut in front of it knowing it will handle it. A pedestrian will step right in front of it and then step back, or will pretend to walk to the edge of the pavement... and stop. This is what I can think of now. "Hackers" will understand how driverless cars will behave to external inputs and exploit that behaviour much like hackers exploit computer systems everywhere. It may take much longer to deal with that than it is to develop a safe driverless car in "normally predictable" scenarios.
This is a developing concept with the potential of being a paradigm shift. Now days anything you want to do, there is a YouTube video. If Apple wants to fight a Google prior art I am good for that even if Apple is the devil's devil.
There will be a connection between the number of patents and the funds income. There still is intensive in applying for patents.
Maybe some schools should have it as a matter of safety. If your child is not immunized, you cannot come to this school because you put other children at risk.
That way they will end up taking their kids to "open minded" schools. At these schools you will very soon discover some pretty grim statistics. Within a few years all these alternative schools will cease to exist. It is terrible that we treat kids as ginneapigs.
