The reason given for 2 months was 'I wasn't me' now 2 months later after repeatedly asking why that reason has been converted to 'abusive behaviour'. Whatever this claimed behaviour was I'm not informed about the incident and appeal is outright denied. I'm no more a Mr Prefect than most of us here. However I don't visit pages on Facebook that I don't support to cause trouble so I can only imagine that the abusive behaviour was me on the attack of some jerk on a page that was there to cause trouble. This loss of account took with it 3 years of contributions and all existing posts in threads across the whole of Facebook.

Man after the flotilla deal I went looking for more information. Joined a FB group called "We are with Gaza". Now I'm the webmaster of the page, a page that lacked a moderator for a long time.
1. Despite several people having spend days removing crap that was input during the unmoderated period, I can't get FB to remove blocks on the page that prevent admins from posting, apps being loaded, static pages being updated etc.
2. My Facebook account that I've held for 3+ years... I've lost that plus 2 other accounts in 4 weeks. After asking around, I've discovered just about everyone involved in any discussion about the flotilla or Israel has lost accounts, some of those people have lost multiple account in the same day. We aren't talking terrorists, Muslims, Arabs (although they are targeted for the delete) but people over 55 who are very modest in their comments.

It was taken of me by my mother when I was a kid. If I post that to my Facebook page am I committing an act of paedophilia? What if a put in through Photoshop and give myself a sex change at 2 yo? Will that make me a sex change doctor? And what if I take a current photo of me and Photoshop me screwing myself at age 4, OMG what will I be then, a rapist?
Hell you better filter me off the Internet, I'm clearly dangerous to my own young mind.
The issue here is about harm and intent as if anything along those lines would stand up to censorship in wikipedia, it just doesn't happen. This is clearly about the thought police. It's just a pity they can't devote all their energy to removing guns from society, that would actually be useful.

The Mozilla Firefox Alpha 3 developer preview was released on the 17th of March. The developer preview 1.9.3 Alpha which is available for testing has the latest Gecko layout engine. It is an early release in the development cycle. The changes seen in the developer preview are:
* A Direct2D rendering on Windows is available and turned off by default.
* Significant API improvements have been made.
* Stability has been improved by using a mechanism to abort memory allocation if it does not get fulfilled in time.
To turn on Direct2D rendering, got to type in about:config in the address bar. Now, look for the key gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.enabled and set it’s value to true. Next, set the value of the mozilla.widget.render-mode key to 6.
I tried the MS test of FF 3.7 A4 and with Direct2D off I get 11 frames a sec on 36 objects with it on I get 41-50
It's worth a play.
