Do schools commonly mix up bus numbers and drivers so that students have different buses/drivers every day? Am I not mistaken, but isn't that the very reason why they have bus routes? You get the same bus with the same driver. Every day. A bus is broken down one day? Well the kid still has the same bus driver. The driver is sick that day and needs a substitute? Well you have the same bus number.

The only situation where a kid could be confused is when you have the normal bus broken down AND it's a substitute driver, but those are rare events and the school should be able to communicate the bus changes over the PA.

I believe all the rare cards can be reacquired in FF8, and in fact refining the cards is one of the ways to get max stats without junctioning.

    The non-card method...
I know the basic method is you but tents, refine them to Mega-Potions to get an infinite supply of gil.

Then you buy 100 Giant's Rings to refine into 10 Gaea's Rings which gets you 10 HP Up. Repeat until max stat.
Then you buy 100 Power Wrists to refine into 10 Hyper Wrists which gets you 10 Str Up. Repeat until max stat.
Then you buy 100 Force Armlet to refine into 10 Magic Armlet which gets you 10 Mag Up. Repeat until max stat.
Then you buy 100 Magic Crown to refine into 10 Hypno Crown which gets you 10 Spr Up. Repeat until max stat.
Then you buy 100 Vit-J Scrolls to refine into 10 Orichalcon which refines into 1 Adamantine which gets you 1 Vit Up. Repeat until max stat.

I think it runs around 15,000,000 gil to get one Stat Up.

Then for max speed you go to Cactuar island and farm Cactus Thorns until you have 100, then you refine it into 100 Needles, which refines into 1 Spd Up. Repeat until stat maxed.
Then for max luck you have one method. You get Tri-Faces to drop Curse Spikes as well as receive them from mugging. You refine 100 Curse Spikes into a Dark Matter, which is refined into a Luck-J Scroll, which is refined into a Luck Up. Repeat until stat maxed.

The significantly easier method requires you to complete the CC Side Quest, at which point the CC members will be on the Ragnarok during Disk 4. You can then mod any of your lv8/9/10 cards and be able to win them back. This can significantly accelerate maxing out HP, Str, Vit, Mag, Spr, and most importantly Spd. Which means you don't have to go through the time consuming purchasing method (even though it doesn't require you to do much of anything). You're still stuck with the Curse Spike method for Luck Ups.

    Level 8
Minotaur refines into 10 Adamantine, which nets you 2 Vit Ups.

    Level 9
Eden refines into 3 Monk's Code, which nets you 3 Str Ups.

    Level 10
Ward refines into 3 Gaea's Ring, which nets you 3 HP Ups.
Irvine refines into 3 Rocket Engine, which nets you .6 Spd Ups.
Zell refines into 3 Hyper Wrist, which nets you .3 Str Ups.
Rinoa refines into 3 Magic Armlet, which nets you .3 Spr Ups.
Edea refines into 3 Royal Crown, which nets you .3 Mag Ups.

What sucks is that Irvine (along with Chubby Chocobo, Kiros, Doomtrain and Phoenix) don't frequently come up when playing against the CC members, though they come up more frequently when playing the Queen of Cards. So cards are a fun method to acquire Stat Ups, it might be faster to buy your way to Spr and Mag ups, but for Vit/Hp/Str Ups the card method is definitely the way to go.

    TL;DR of my post...

Your Ifrit card was not lost.
I just proved obsessive collection behavior.

Here's how I look at it. I can throw down $400 for the newest gaming system, and be assured that the graphics setting will be just as good or only slightly worse that the highest end gaming PC. I don't have to worry about patches breaking the system or making the game not work, heck I don't even need to worry about manually downloading and applying patches and updates the game will check for them when I put it in and ask me if I want to install it now or later. I can attach a keyboard, mouse, and voice communication microphone all via Bluetooth, meaning I can replicate the same gaming environment that a PC would provide.

As a developer I don't have to worry about whether the game will work on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 2000 or 98. That's not even considering making it work for Macs or Linux.

There are only two advantages that are still left in the PC's ballpark and that is being able to put the entire game on the hard drive and custom user modifications like with TES. The hard drive is only going to help with load times and it is honestly something I'm willing to put up with for less hassle. The custom user mods will be the biggest savior for PC gaming, until console can figure out how to provide for it. So far people are stuck with mods and extensions only available through the xbox and playstation stores.

I know with the PS3 there's no real limitation that would make it inadequate to run an MMO client. You can connect a keyboard and mouse via Bluetooth or USB.

Personally, I think PC gaming will and has been going into decline. The last remaining genre that will hold out on PC gaming will be strategy games, but even those will go away. People say that FPS are superior on the PC, I agree, but it is the very reason why they are superior on the PC that makes them unbalanced. The mouse. When you introduce a new style of mouse, it completely upsets the balance. Those that can afford or even use that superior style start to quickly outclass those that can't. That is why I think console FPS are the way to go. You provide uniform hardware with standard inputs that all players have. It also makes it easier on the developer. You have one hardware configuration to work with, instead of a virtually unlimited set of configurations.

There's rarely, if ever any documentation on what all of them are and they inevitably get to a point where you have a lot in a single sentence. This is likely another part why CoH/V doesn't see many new players. I can look at the chat channels and barely understand what's being said because I have a habit of playing for a month or two, quitting for 5 and going back. I can't imagine what it would be like to start as a new player with everyone and their mother talking in all these acronyms that you can't decipher. A lot of people are self-conscious about sounding dumb, myself included. If I were to be on my level 50 character and ask what half these acronyms were that I didn't know, I would probably get a lot of replies like "loludum" and the such. After all, how could a max level NOT know all the acronyms?

I played FF9, and I hated it, but not for the storyline. I just could stand the combat system where limit breaks never happened when you wanted them, and learning skills was bound to wearing specific pieces of equipment. My opinion is that for a Final Fantasy to be successful you need to both like the story and the system. That's why FF9 fails for me (I disliked the system), it's why FF10 really didn't impress me that much (I disliked the story). FF12 I'm still on the fence over because I dislike the focus on farming, but I love the story. To be honest, I don't think FF7 is the best Final Fantasy. I think it had a good story, a good combat system, and came out at just the right time (launch into 32-bit) to grab a whole new audience, thus running it's popularity. I've met few Final Fantasy fans that have played multiple Final Fantasy games and believe FF7 to be the best/favorite.

Personally I find FF6 to have the best storyline (maybe FF9, but I vaguely remember it), with FF8 in #2-#3. I think FF8 has the best system, because the junction system allows you to let characters of less level be able to keep up with your higher level characters. That's my biggest beef with Final Fantasy. Non-party characters either don't gain experience or gain it at reduced rates, which frequently results in some characters becoming too under-leveled for where the story is, forcing you to go back and grind levels to catch them up. It's made even worse by the systems making which characters you use in combat generic (Sphere Grid, License Grid). Right now in FF12 I have Vaan at 10 or 11. Fran and Balthier are at about 32-33. Basch is at 34. Penelo and Ashe are at 21-22. What's the difference between Penelo, Ashe, Fran, Balthier, and Basch? Basch, Fran, and Balthier don't have as much of the magic augments, can't use staves, and use heavy armor over cloth. Boo friggin hoo.

Most likely, especially since you still have a product key for the version of Windows 7 that you download.
