Yes, I bought all new 18G drives for the array, so it had to be formatted. If you didn't create an Array Config Disk using the Compaq software before installing W2K you may be out of luck getting the array back.
Now that was good advise! I'll have to give that a go.
And it illustrated my point. RH never said that, they just said "Sorry, tough titties". Plus the Smartstart CD I had came with the server, so it was like version 80 something, before Linux was very popular.
I've had nothing but support nightmares since RH 7.0. Don't get me wrong, I love RH, always have.
I bought RH 7 to run on an old (Dual P-Pro 200) Compaq machine that used to be running SCO Unix. I couldn't get it installed. I emailed RH support with the specs of the box (Standard Compaq Proliant 2500) and the error the installer gave me (invalid root or something).
They replied back the next day "Try installing in text mode" then the next day, "Use a command line of...". That went on for 2 weeks, till they finnaly read the specs on the machine (Compaq SmartRaid controller) and said "Sorry, we don't support RH installation on servers with raid controllers." To be honest, Compaq wasn't much help ethier. They simply had a pointer to the Compaq array controller driver on sourceforge.
How silly of me to install a server O/S on a server. So I installed Win2K.
I don't know abaout artists, but I'll tell you a fan's perspective.
Like The Bat, he's a tragic character. He was betrayed and murdered by people he trusted, forced to do the bidding of a Demon in return for the promise of seeing the woman he loved. When he did see the woman he loved, he was unrecognizable to her, so seeing her was pointless (betrayed again). Because of that, he rebelled against the wishes of the Demon and instead fights the Demon.
The draw is it's dark, gloomy and disturbing. But it's mixed with an exploration of things like honour and truth. The costumes, at least in the comics, have 'personality' and are almost alive with a will of their own. Very interesting!
Gaiman was a fitting artist to work on Spawn, as his series 'Sandman" had many similar qualities.
Hooorah brother! Your eyes are open! Cast off the demon that has been the source of your dispair, cast it into the pit from whence it came and rejoice in your salvation!

I just installed 500 PCs, Win2k, but Mozilla and Star Office 5. 3/5 servers are now non-M$, and that number will grow to 4/5 when they try to ram XP down my gullet. They can have my AS/400 when they pry it from my cold, dead hand.
Why do people who know something about computers assume that this makes them qualified to give legal opinions?
Because most of us in engineering have to take a 1-2 symester course in contract law as part of the degree. Perhaps it distorts our minds a little, but it's really handy in dealing with all the contracts and legal issues we deal with.
But it doesn't work
I installed W2k SP3 the other day. When I check the box that says "Use my current email program" I assume it means Lotus Notes. Then I delete the icon for Outlook Express in the Start menu, and in the quick launch. I log off, then back on, and voila! Outlook Express is back in the Start Menu and Quick Launch. So I go to Add/Remove Windows components, and uncheck Outlook Express. I log off/On and they are back! I check Add/Remove Windows Components, and it's back!
Following isn't a problem, it's actually getting it to work that is the problem.
I think the first season (or first half) in the US was just replays of the British Wars, but the second half was all new stuff. Different rules too. It was a free for all: Put 6 robots in the ring and let them go 5 rounds until only 1 survives. Elimination by destruction or disability.
First time I saw the 'Ref Bot'. Was kinda cool too, seeing 3 or 4 robots gang up on who they thought would be the toughest competition.
I get a laugh out of Craig Charles. Funnier that the guy they had on the first season.
We get the British Robot Wars on 'Space' (our equivalent to the Sci-Fi Channel), we get the WWE Robot Wars on TNN, and Battlebots on Discovery. TLC also runs both the British and US Junkyard Wars.
I always wondered if there were more than one "Sir Killalot". Kinda tough to ship him back and forth from London to wherever they film the US Robot Wars.

If there is such a thing, I think you should be nominated for BOFH of the Month.
And if you don't mind, I'm going to use a few of those tips...

Just a little uptight don't you think?
Her mother's a pretty lady though. Yes Buy, I knows her Mudder.
Mod me down all you want, did you go to high school with her?
Hehehe. Oops. Not that :-)
I think Timothy is rubbing off on Chris.
Hehehehe....Fwwweeze wabbit!
But I caution you, the meat is gamy and the pelts are useless...

I still chuckle at both of those...
(chong):I think we're parked man.
Not just a movie, words to live by! Who needs to see through the windscreen?
Yea, LDS, whatever. No fsking sense of ha ha have you, young grasshopper?
Inhaled, ingested, absorbed through the skin, suppositories, slow I.V. drip, whatever worked.
Ever scrape a resin joint off the inside windscreen of your car? %-}
I still get TCH flashbacks from hearing any song off that album. :-)
