I could tell people "I use Mozilla" and most people would look at me like i was speaking greek (except the greeks, they'd look at me like i was speaking inuit).

Now I tell people i use Mozilla, and Some of them actually know what it is, or have heard of it. Not to mention that since there is a 1.X release out, i can confidently install it on a friends or clients machine without a lot of worry of weird crashes and bugs.

Once Mozillas spam filtering becomes easy and useful, I can see myself converting a LOT more people a lot more easily than i already have. So far i've converted about 25 diehard IE users... and i wonder how many they have converted.

Its not in disagreement, but in response to a subtle troll + mod whoring. The shooting down of multiplayer games is a sure way (or was 6 months ago) for 5 mod points. It could be under a topic of space missions to mars or a new form of DNA decoding - if someone posts "I hate multiplayer games; why aren't there more single player games", they would be marked +5 insightful. People are mainly getting bored of hearing this over and over again, and are moving on now.

This is a huge difference than simply disagreeing. Because i don't. In fact, i love a good single player game. If nothing else - it should be modded nown as redundant. And why kick dirt on a few mod that is REALLY amazing. The Natural Selection guys have outdone all expectations, and have created a completely Addictive and Envigorating game. Forget disagreement.

  6. Re:New Games on Gaming Goodness · · Score: 2, Interesting

this is a Troll and should be marked as such. The first 2 games are mods for what is the most popular multiplayer game Ever - and therefore its really quite normal that you see multiplayer mods for such. As far as doom 3 - its a single player game, with a little bit of multiplayer thrown in, but the focus is really going to be single.

This post is as foolish as saying "imagine a beowolf cluster of these"... yes i know complaining about multiplayer overpowering single player was a really popular thing to say 2 Years Ago, when quake 3 came out, but in the last year a LOT of great single player games have happened.

This was a tough choice - to mod the 4 down to 3, or to post, hoping people read, agree, and mark down to -1, where it belongs.

Its really simple, and i've never had to mess with anything to get perfect sync every time.

Don't quote me on this, but i Swear gordian knot has options for adding more than one audio track.. I really don't know how it works, since i've never used it... But i do have a few anime avis that have subtitles you can turn off or on. The problem with them is they suffer from bad ORC encoding.. and often words get jumbled.

In my opinion, this is a bit myopic and shouldn't be given such a high score.

We're talking about people who think it's OK to kill thousands of civilians and actively seek to do so. This isn't just "misguided," it's just plain wrong, but these people have all but been programmed to think this way.

I'm not trying to start something nasty here, but there have been over a thousand Civilian deaths in Afganistan so far, and some reports say up to three thousand.

You keep mentioning "these people" and how they all deserve death for "cheering" others death... Do you, in retrospect, also deserve death for cheering their death? One has to be very careful not to become just what they are fighting agasint.

Not to mention, if the US armies sweep across the globe, killing all leaders that bush sees as "evil", we're going to make a lot more people hate us.. childen whos parents have died in anti-terrorist operations, civilians that got in the way.. etc. Its a perfect way to ensure future terrorists. Personally I'd like to know real reasons on why the USA is so hated by so many people across the globe, and don't tell me its becasue "they hate our freedom", its a wonder every time i see GWB say that with a straight face.

I think this whole issue is a Lot more complex than having a simple "kill them all" solution. If we are supposed to be the most advanced and cultured society in the history of the earth, i'm sure we can do better than that.

I may be modded down for this by some who think a second opinion is a bad thing, but i can't help but post this here. This is what i feel and i beleive its valid.
