    I played it and it is more a documentary film than a game.
    You get to listen to the horrors of being a refugee stranded in there.
    More education than entertainment. Impressive none the less.

    Please point me to a source to confirm this, or explain yourself further. I understand that a catalytic converter only works when it is hot but i allso understand that it heats up pretty quickly after you start driving.

    I found some more info on wikipedia and howstuffworks but nothing as alarming as you suggest

    The most important factor in break distance is the mass of the vehicle. It might be that the difference in mass between your sports car and the SUV accounts for the difference in breaking.

    Often skidding is caused by other factors such as oil or dirt on the road. At high speeds ABS will allways lead to shorter stopping distances and more predictible behaviour when breaking.

    A traditional encyclopedia is even worse at these subjects becaulse it it such a static medium.
    Assuming you want to be informed about all sides of a soft subject the wikipedia usually gives a good idea about what is currently hotly debated instead of presenting a view from a time before debate started.

    If this is about little children and they parents then why are the checking truancy (spijbelen), education and criminality in kids? This is hardly going to protect small children from their parents. If you had RTFA jou would have known that this tracking concerns things done by chidren 12 years and up. Not their parents.

    Some of the Netherlands dikes were built to claim land from the sea, most of it is there to protect the land in exactly the same way as in New Orleans. The setteling of mud and slow sinking of the land s a problem we have here too.

    Some people call the Netherlands the oldest democracies in the world becaulse of the way the building of dikes was organized; People banded together and elected a "Dijkgraaf"to take care of watermanagement in their region.

    We have been a Semi socailist state for years, nothing to be afraid of; the Netherlands is one of the wealthiest countries in the world, home to multinationals as Philips, Shell, Canon, Unilever, Heineken. Homelessness an poverty are rare here thanks to elaborate social security.

    We have had evacuations and floodings in the past years due to the bad management of the rivers flowing into our country.
    The state has been handeling these relatively well, all have been orderly and the old and sick where out first of course.

    Hurricanes do not exist here but global warming and melting icecaps are very dangerous for us, please sign kyoto!

    I think not.
    It has made it much harder to give help to the majority of defensless people an given power to the animals and looters.

    You are not going to stop teenagers having sex, they are progammed to do that. If you want to lower unwanted pregnancy you should educate children about sex and hand out condoms. To me this is so obvious that i have problems understanding what all the fuzz is about.

    The sex is not as abusive as the rest of the gameplay, you are supposed to give her pleasure. It is probably the most female friendly part of the game ;)
    Silly part is that he keeps his clothes on while she is naked.

    i have done many projects with camera's in extreme situations and have come to like the sony handycams a lot.
    Mine has been taking abuse for over 4 years now, it looks like sh*t all scratched and beaten but it still works fine.

    Perhaps you should take a closer look at why these camera's break down. Dirt? Moisture? vibrations? uneducated users? and try to fix that. Else take a prosumer camcorder like the PD 150 they have an auto mode that works well for people without experience and are build to take a beating.

    Perhaps a small semi transperant geodesic dome with a simple camera inside could do the trick. If you could measure color and brightness on each of the trangles and save them as numbers you can probably find some room in the video signal to add this info.
    You could allso simply add a camera with a fisheye lens pointed upwards. You could even add reflections that way.

    Apple tries to force an .mac membership on its users by making it the only practical way to sync adresses, email and calendar on multiple macs.
    I think it would be easy for them to make this possible without .mac but they are just using it as a cashcow.

    Ghost effect or twins
    Set up camera on tripod and film the same person twice as if he is two persons interacting. Now add the two shots together with a wipe or fade stuck at 50%
    Flying person
    Have a person continuously jumping, now edit out the parts where his feet touch the ground. Jou can move around like this too. Very funny effect.
    Reverse
    Film somebody walking backwards around town. Now reverse, it is like he is the only normal person in a reversed world
    Jumpcut
    Have somebody perform an action (say drink coffee), ask him to freeze as you stop the camera, replace coffeecup with dead chicken. Start camera

    Have fun.

    I bought the DVD for 60 Euros
    Then i had to wait for more than two hours as steam was doing stange stuff to my computer and communicating god knows what to some evil corporation before i could play.

    I arrive at work today bringing my laptop along and a collegue just downloaded the torrent,he was happily playing the illegal version.
    Then i started my version to compare and steam started doing whoknows for a freaking half hour before i could play.
    grrrr, next time i wait for the cracked version of any steam enabled game.

    The game is exellent, no complaints there : )
    And yes we can play games at work, we own the place.

    I just spent the 60euros for the game and it is now two hours later and the game still won't start.
    It is still downloading and "unlocking" stuff and doing god knows what to my computer.
    Grrr, what a way to treat a customer.
    I should have waited for the torrent : (
