I guesd it depends on where you live; here in Sweden it's fairly common that libraries has printers and copiers where you can print for a few cents per copy. Just bring it o a memory stick or so.
Well, I've heard operators think that getting rid of the top tier customers is a good thing, since that means that the other customers would have more bandwidth to play with, and the can postpone investments in network upgrades (and node splits)
Well, since the report is provided by Arbor, whom bought the DPI vendor Ellacoya some time ago, we can probably pretty safely say that changing the port doesn't matter.
That's a good point. The negative side of it is that most of the P2P apps always sets the highest prio, so it doesn't work very well anyway.
Look at the traffic with DPI is unfortunately the only way to be sure of what apps has which DSCP flag, and even enables you to rewrite this flag to match what you really think the particular app should have in your (as in the ISP's) part of the network.
The first blog comment on siliconbeat said it all:
"My first reaction, not knowing that this was an Andreesen site, was "gee, these apps are derivative". Come on, Bulldogster? And how many applications do we actually need to tell us about restaurants in Palo Alto?"
Couldn't they just find out a way of making their on money on digital media stores instead of trying to prosectue people who download or trying to threat iTunes store. Or is this thier new way?
Just a little thought here: After reading all about this linux vs. win there is so much more you get from a linux distribution, and I'm not talking about the down-to-core os-tools, but the applications that you can ship with the os, like free office applications, good web browsers, image editing and so forth and so on. Windows is just crap without a ton of other software downloaded or bought, with an own linux distribution you can distribute a complete pc-home-work-machine, not a dumb terminal that needs external software to be really useful (m$ paint anyone?:)
So, I guess this is becoming more and more ordinary, writing secure code is not going to happen, and with new ways in (bluetooth, browsing with the phone, wireless access via phone in the future?) and so on I think we just have to rely on autoupdates for every os with no exception of PAN-devices. Just like we humans have constant amount of bacteria in our mouths we have to get used to having a constant flow of viruses through our computers/phones/pda's etc.
Interesting to note that you can actually learn stuff from just by being bored at work. I had never heard of these door-nazis or whatever you call them, but I'm just a humble swede, and we don't have them at all, but it makes me thing twice about throwing away the receipt if I go to the states.
Interesting topic, I spent the whole day looking for a connector (doesn't know its name, its usally on laptops, where you insert flatcable (from the keyboard) to the motherboard. (the kabel is usually made of some kind of transparent plastics with one side of the end where the plating is on the cable).
Don't know its english name, though I have looked at all the online stores I could find to see a picture of it.
Has anyone seen a link to where I can by them, and to know its name would be great!

The fact that the filename was unencrypted got one of our students an warrant for breking in to our system. All filenames, size, timestamp matched one of our server.

I bought the HP Omen as a gaming PC. It has a 256GB SSD for C: and 1TB spin drive for D:, so I don't think your assessment is in order here.

Just to be "picky", Göterborgs-Posten should read Göteborgsposten" after the Swedish town Göteborg.

Beats me.
Couldn't he made it with a PSP compatible mode, such shows would have been perfect to watch while commuting. Now I have to play games instead.

Doesn't companies test their servicepacks before they apply them on 80k machines?
Maybee thats just me
If you read the specs you will eventually see that the serial port is for UPS, so it can take down and up the machine in good fashion.
