You are forgetting that they don't want you to be able to read bills before they pass them. If they can pass a lot of bills vary fast, it is harder for normal people to find the time to read all the bills. I can not support mass moving to EV till the plants are up. We can not support the power needs right now. If a lot of people go to EV's the price of power will go way up. It may save you $20 on filling up your EV, but the price to power you home may jump $100.
