  4. You appear to be using a very loose definition of "drone" that includes everything from remote-controlled fixed-wing aircraft to guided missiles. However, tactical drones capable of vertical flight... that's largely an Israeli innovation; think 70's and 80's.

    That sounds more like Texas. In Oklahoma, if it's not Chicken-Fried Steak, then it either came from a fastfood joint or the supermarket freezer section... and their number one search question should be "is it okay to treat my dog's mange with used engine oil?" however it's generally assumed that that is a "yes" and they just go ahead and use used engine oil.

    Any energy storage tech with such limited inherent potential, density-wise, is doomed to failure: battery tech is rapidly evolving past what can be achieved with fuels based on light - and potentially cleaner - elements. There's a possible future for synfuels based on denser, heavier elements but it would be a niche ("cesium pellets" for your TR-3B's kinetic weaponry and attitudinal thrusters?) and probably a little ways off...
