    Please enlighten me. How much commonality was there between the 1940s era Dodge military vehicles and the 1970s era Dodge CUCV?

    The sheet metal's changed but the CUCV is a direct descendent of the WC series.

    Let me correct a possibly larger misconception: any sniper or professional will immediately yank off the factory scope; it adds little value to a serious shooter and it's not at all uncommon to see a $300 firearm sporting a $3000 scope.

    It means more money for ammo, and more time for target practice.

    The more "high profile" of these shooters often transform overnight from lonely losers with no firearms training into highly-skilled Rambo-types. They're seemingly able to send far more lead downrange - with incredible accuracy - than any experienced operative would ever be able to, under any conditions.

    That's awful kind of Stockton to want to help them out and all but they're already being "helped."

    The problem is that these communication methods often seem really inefficient and are as easy to ignore or under-respond to as a phone with a ringer on silent.

    Worse, the lack of tone/nuance in text/email often leads to subtle but pervasive misunderstandings, unless the conversation is purely matter-of-fact...

    I just don't understand how you can have spam calls like that and be ok with it.

    I try to make the most of it: I ask them all about the area that their number shows them to be calling from ("Bruce" with an Indian accent apparently resides in Idaho).

    I'll string them along for as long as I possibly can, giving them ever-varying versions of my "social security number" as I "struggle to remember it," etc, etc, until they give up in frustration.

    The skies the limit, here; this is a sport with few rules.
